had no idea people overrated the Wayans bros like this

shyt was funny and all but top 3 black sitcom of all time? naw not even close

IMO Cosby show and Good Times are locks for the top 3

the other spot is a toss up between Fresh Prince,Sandford & Son,Different World,The Jeffersons

I wouldnt even put Wayans Bros on the same level as any of those shows

Wayne bros shouldn't be said in the same breath as Martin and fresh Prince.

If we not counting Cosby and different world and only counting 90s sitcoms then that 3rd spot goes to living single

Wayans bros has literally zero memorable moments

This is what I find on the coli ... a lot of ppl don't fukk wit wayans bros. I don't understand why ... it is my personal favorite black sitcom from the 90s, mainly I guess because of the setting, two brothers living in the city, tearing shyt up being irresponsible. But I've come to realize it will never get its due.

The Gary Coleman episode :usure:

That shyt was hilarious. It was either the second or third episode if not the first. Entire first season of Wayans Bros was a riot. I have a DVDrip of the first season but only way I can watch the rest of the episodes is if I catch a rerun. I remember during high school watching every single Wayans Bros episode after school. They usually showed two episodes from 5pm to 6pm.

But brehs, what about the Jeffersons? I used to catch an episode or two back in the day, but I want to revisit the entire show. Don't know if it is on Netflix or anything. It was pretty hilarious, that maid went in and Jefferson always crucified his interracial neighbors and that dude 'Bentley' :mjlol:

The answer is yes.

Wayan bros was the third funniest black sitcom behind Martin & fresh Prince of Bel Air in the 90s.:yeshrug:

Seasons 3-5 especially is right up there with the best of the best from any black sitcom.:myman:

White mike, tc, dupree, dee, pops, shawn, and Marlon. That's a tough team right there.:banderas:

Living single:mjlol:

Might as well throw in Malcolm & Eddie if you're gonna bring living single up:russell:

I think everybody hates chris deserves a mention tho. Very underated.:ehh:

I forgot some of the supporting characters :ohhh:

Dee was always jonesing on Shawn right? I don't think Shawn ever hit it ever. There was an episode where Marlon played a trick on both of them and they thought they'd smashed and it was hella awkward but turns out they were just drunk :lolbron:

White Mike :russ: Guy was a die-hard NOI adherent.

TC came straight out of the 70s.

Never figured out Dupree's thing but dude was hella funny the odd time he appeared on an episode. Shawn and Marlon always cracked on the nikka's weight.

Honestly, if you hate Wayans bros then :camby:

A true classic.

Is there any love for some of the lesser known 90s black shows like Roc, Sparks or Hanging w/ Mr Cooper? I never really watched these and it is hard trying to watch them now because they are difficult to find (not on Netflix, Torrents or DVD). What was the verdict on these shows if any of y'all watched em?

How anyone is putting Wayne bros over Living single is beyond me.

Wayne bros not even funnier then Jamie Foxx.

I vaguely remember Hanging with mr cooper. Only really remember Mark eventually got together with the cute roommate.

One show that didn't get its just due was Moesha.

I guess you have to be into that sort of humor. But it is not altogether different from anything else the wayans have done (specifically shawn and marlon). All the movies / projects they did afterwards (e.g. scary movie) had the same sort of crude humor.

I liked Jamie Foxxx show. I wouldn't put it above Wayans Bros (personal opinion) but it was pretty funny. I wonder if they released all seasons on DVD.
