Stockton wasn't a scorer tho. Name a star that won a championship without another scorer on the roster with him.

Stockton was scoring 15-17 ppg on 50+%fg .plus the jazz always had another 15+ pt scorer on the roster(Jeff Malone,Hornecek)

Jazz leading scorers:

88-89:
Malone 29.1(52%)
Stockton 17.1(54%)

89-90:
Malone 31.0(56%)
Stockton 17.2(51%)
Bailey 14.2(48%)

90-91:
K.Malone 29.0(53%fg)
J.Malone 18.6(51%)
Stockton 17.2(51%)
Bailey 12.4(46%)

91-92:
K.Malone 28.0(53% fg)
J.Malone 20.2(51%)
Stockton 15.8(48%)
Edwards 12.6(52%)

92-93:
K.Malone 27.0(55% fg)
J.Malone 18.1(49%)
Stockton 15.1(49%)

93-94
K.Malone 25.2(54% fg)
J.Malone 16.2(49%)
Stockton 15.1(53%)

94-95
K.Malone 26.7(50% fg)
Stockton 14.7(54%)
Hornecek 16.5(51%)

95-96
K.Malone 25.7(52% fg)
Stockton 14.7(54%)
Hornecek 15.2(50%)

I'm not saying Karl should have won 3 or 4 championships. But man...when you are one of the top 3 PF ever and have a top 8 pg all-time,you need to win at least 1 title.

dawg Stockton is a top 3 pg of all time....top 8 is an insult to his legacy

that's what's so puzzling about them only making 2 finals

Not trying to ruffle feathers with list and who's better than who.So I just said top 8 to play it safe. But I agree,Malone and stockton should of had more playoff success.

Lack of rings, playing for Utah, and being negatively controversial seems to make people diminish your accomplishments.

Actually, it kind of feels like almost everyone from that Jordan era who didn't make a transition to TV is getting their accomplishments phased out. Barkley and Reggie Miller get a little love, but it's almost as if Malone, Stockton, Ewing, and Dominique never played.
Reggie was not even special :russ:
