Also if youre just stating, your calves are going to be hurting of course. But prepare for your shins to feel like they are about to split.

What’s it feel like being old? Are you healthy? Overweight?
I'm in good shape, especially since I started boxing again. But I simply can't move like I couod when I was younger and my stamina isnt the same as the 20 year Olds or teens. Those dudes be having endless energy. But I'm cool with it. I don't have the same "spring" compared to when I was younger.

As long as I'm fitter than most late 30s and early 40 year old dudes I'm good.:yeshrug:

I don't understand this shin split shyt. My shins never hurt and i've had a period where I used to jump role on my big concrete balcony for 20+min at a time. The only injury I've had was spraining my left foot

I'm bullshytting, but honestly we do have a few cats on here that run regularly.

We have a few threads about running, riding, jumping rope. Start small, 5 minutes work your way up.

A lot of people start late, there's no problem with starting late. Especially if you fall in love with it.

I had a post about a big dude that lost a lot of weight just jumping rope. Still eating bullshyt but jumping rope for an hour a day. He lost a shyt ton of weight then starting doing pushups and squats and eating healthy and became a coach that did fitness jump rope classes. And this was circa 2010 before the anyone can become a fitness trainer grift. He was just and overweight black older black guy that found something he could do every day, without expensive equipment, that he could do while hiding/being ashamed, and anywhere, in his backyard, basement, a park, a lake, bedroom..he fell in love with it, it was working for him and he went all in on it. I still have the video, I just don't have the pictures.

That motivated me and I was young. I wasn't overweight but finding something you really like and is fun was something I never considered in terms of achieving a goal back then. My mentality was if you want something or need something do what you gotta do to get it done. Everything was a chore or an objective to me.
