Is jump rope the most underrated exercise? 10 mins of jump rope = 30 mins of running đź‘€

We've had this discussion on here a few times.

It's a dope workout and mandatory.

Yes and it's harder than most folks think. Sounds simple but most people will gas at a min and probably sooner. In my boxing classes we do it for 5 minutes as a warm up and took me a while to get that far without stopping.

Still trying to get the boxer skip down.
How do I do it at all? I always trip after like 4 seconds

Can you rank

Jump rope. Swimming and burpees
There’s no rank. Jump rope is good for strengthening your calves, toning your legs and as a HIIT workout. A rope is cheap and you can do it literally anywhere.

Swimming is perfect as it’s low impact, a great aerobic exercise and you can go at your own pace. If you’re injured, it’s a great substitute while you’re recovering. I sprained my knee recently so I swam during my reconvalescence.

Burpees is a great HIIT workout again as it can be done anywhere. It works out your whole body but to get the maximum out of it, you have to do it consistently… e.g. I’ll do 10x10 sets with 20-30 second breaks in between each set.

I’ve been jumping lately. It took me a minute to get back right but now I’m looking like I did back in the day. Great exercise and very easy to do at home.
