Definitely not a bust but definitely not a star player you can build a team around. Cause even if you build around him it's going to kill the team in crunch time because he can't be the main facilitator due to his free throw issues. He's a high a star role player like a Draymond where you better have some great firepower around him to properly utilize him. Having him in a pick and roll offense with a star guard like a Dame or Steph that warrants traps would make Simmons deadly. Philly just doesn't have that star guard to really open the floor up for Simmons.

I feel that everyone talks up his defense while simultaneously ignoring the negative impact his inability and unwillingness to shoot outside of the restricted area has on his team offensively. It makes life so much harder for everyone else in a half court set because they know Ben can't do anything outside the paint.

Honestly he’s just another kwame. Good at defense and nothing else. Just has klutch machine and dating models
