if OKC keeps winning and Chet keeps putting up numbers, how does chet not win it?
Many people don’t see Chet as a rookie because he’s been around the team for a year, what they fail to realize is dude was completely rehabbing with no kind of basketball practice or contact.

It's hard to keep up the hype when you aren't winning games and playing in a small market. And when it comes to that lack of hype, I think Coach Pop and the Spurs love every bit of it.

man fukk all the small market shyt.

Here's what it is:

it's as if we really wanted to believe that Wemby would be so damn good that he could make this Spurs team good this soon and we all forgot that the Spurs were picking first for a reason: they're ass. And it's what I always go back to with tanking. Some people truly believed the Spurs sucked because they didn't try, not because they had a super young roster with Jeremy Sochan tryna run point and shyt.

Scoot didn't play well to start, but his team is a rebuild that EVERYONE wanted. No shyt, he's gonna be in obscurity even if he put up rookie Brandon Jennings numbers.

What's next? We're gonna wonder why the Wizards escape the consciousness of the public?

as for anyone who continues to blame football for why y'all wanna ignore NBA basketball on a Friday or Wednesday, you're incapable of watching multiple sports and you're struggling to admit that this hoops shyt ain't for you anymore.

And it's so many young competitive teams on the up I don't understand how.
We are witnessing a transition as we speak and that shyt is exciting too see. Those Wednesday and Friday games rn are how we (as fans) start to build those attachments that nikkas in here pine for, with the new Gen that is. Alot to look fwd to as an NBA fan if you ask me

They a bad team and we're starting to get to the part of the season no one cares that much about.

No one's talking about the NBA in general right now, and we gotta see if certain teams are for real. T-Wolves are off to probably the best start in franchise history and no one is talking about them

What people have to understand is that while the Spurs have a lot of young players with potential...

They're still not a good team, this is essentially the same Spurs team as last year minus a few subtractions and additions.

Adding Wemby doesn't suddenly make them into prime playoff contenders or an above .500 team right out of the gates, I remember leading up to the draft and throughout the off-season, a lot of fans were making a lot of silly predictions such as the Spurs winning the championship or being the best team in the West or even Wemby winning MVP.

Those fans weren't paying attention to the Spurs last year because if they were they'd know that team plus Wemby ain't doing nothing for at least the next 2-3 years if the franchise decides to stay pat and doesn't make any moves which I don't see them doing since the organization isn't the type to throw everything together just for a quick run at a chip.

So within these next few seasons, I see the Spurs gradually improving (above 500 season, play-in, first-round exit, etc). It's going to take a few seasons to see the Spurs being anything of significance in the West standings and championship contention.
