MLB is by far the hardest it could take years for draft picks to contribute, you have to over pay for even decent free agents, an amazing qb can will a team to the playoffs, a top 10 player in the nba can will them to the playoffs, barry bonds put up INSANE numbers and didn't see the playoffs for years

Mlb is a cruel sport.

Especially if your team/org has a weakness and ownership is negligent to fix the the problems.

Every fan is convinced they could be a decent NBA GM or NFL GM or MLB GM or whatever.

I'd say it's probably easiest to build an NFL team. WIth the NBA (and MLB) it'd depend a lot more on which team you're actually running, because the big city squads have such an advantage in those leagues.
Didn't say I can get you to the ring, cause I can't say I'll pull off those those Kupchack/Riley etc head scratchers.

But .500+? I'll back myself on that. You can see some of these teams fukking up a mile away

NBA is the easier. You depend on less players on the team than the other sports. The more players you need. The more the percentage increases to fukk it up. Also with 82 games you have the opportunity to bounce back/adjust from a losing streak or a few bad games. You can also build a winning team with mostly free agents and trades (proven players that you know what they can do)

in the NFL you MUST have good drafts (somewhat of a gamble on unproven players). Seems like the most injury-prone sport. Good luck seems to be a factor more in this sport than any other. Because there are only 16 games, a few bad games can quickly put you on a downward spiral to a .500 or below record.

If I was a GM of an NBA Team my first move would be to get rid of your by DWade.

you lose that trade, you lose that trade 9 times out of 10

Basketball team of course 1 player can make you a winner and 2 can make you a contender.

In the NFL and MLB you need multiple talented players on each side of the ball and sometimes even talented reserves.

Problem is in the NBA you have to be bad to get the best players. I always say tank for 3 seasons and ensure you have top 4 picks each year.

Unless there is a KD, :russ:, Beard, Ibaka all coming out in successive years and all available when you pick that may not work out that well for you.

NFL.

You dont even have to draft a stud prospect, just have some cap room & a decent QB and you're almost assured a shot at a playoff berth. Its an average of at least 6 new teams every yr that make the playoffs, you dont see that type of turnover consistently in MLB or NBA

NFL.....every year it seems like all teams have a shot at having a winning team....

MLB second.....

You don't have to draft a stud but you have to have a roster full of good players and you have to find those players. In the NBA you pretty much know who all the good players are from jump and the greats usually go in the top 10. In the NFL you can find a Brady in the 6th or a Russell at #1. You really have to have good scouting and the draft is key. Those new teams that come up every year are usually coming off good drafts. The teams that win consistently have to draft well in order to stay on top. You also have to be deep and able to survive inevitable injuries. Most of the same can be said for baseball. You have so many more moving parts to account for.

Tell that to Mets and Cubs fans

Yeah you gotta have a good farm system and make good trades and spend on the right guys. Only the Marlins and Yankees have won with the spending model. And it took the Yankees a decade to win one title with that model after spending $2 billion. They weren't spending big like that in the late 90's when they won those 4 titles.
