Everybody has to choose better partners I agree with @Booksnrain she brought up a good point. Neither side should settle and our priorities and qualities we look for in a mate should be shifted/changed. I mean, I've actually heard black/men women saying what makes them marriage "quality" is the fact that they have degrees and no kids lol. That line of thinking is inherently broken. When you talk about qualities of marriage you'd think more in line of mother like qualities for example nurturing, patient, understanding, etc. And it comes from both sides. When we talk about these issues within the black community, I'm thinking more in line of black American and maybe Caribbean, not African which is why I find it hilarious that @agnosticlady who comes from a two parent African home is trying to act like she can really tell black American posters like @Panthera @bcrusaderw etc. we're wrong for what we say.
