the answer is a defnite NO simply cuz i grew up in the 90's and saw emmitt play a lot and I saw barry sanders play a whole lot with them being in our division. barry sanders is the best running back I've ever seen and the GOAT at that position IMO.

Tomlinson was a great Regular Season RB. I'd take anybody else over him in playoffs.
This is trash. Walter Payton averaged under 3.8 ypc in the playoffs. Runners skills dont “suddenly” atrophy in the playoffs. They played on teams that allowed defenses to take them away.

Keep that playoff shyt with basketball

Nah he quit a couple times in the playoffs. Yall aren't gonna rewrite history. Phillip Rivers was playing with an injured ACL and Tomlinson took 2 carries and quit and sat on the bench the whole game with his helmet on. He couldn't say what was Injured and nobody else could either.

That Phillip River shyt has been done from day one. Qbs do not rely on the flexibility of the knees to that of a running back. That shyt was dumb from day one And I don’t care how many years it’s been because it’s been stupid for that long of a quarterback to play with partially torn ACL… They’re not running. Philip Rivers is not a runner. Dumb as fukk. And I called that “history” dumb as fukk in real time when people voiced that dumb shyt .

And I and I brought up Walter Payton and his numbers dropping off in the playoffs. Football doesn’t operate along those lines. Keep that dumb shyt with basketball.

People throwing out random ass names like Shaun Alexander and Edge lol
I'll bring one up for no reason too
Best short peak for a RB ever probably still Priest Holmes
7600+ total yards and 76 TDs in 54 games is absolutely absurd production and he was on his way to a 4th straight 1st Team All Pro before the spinal injury that basically ended his career
One of my favorite players! Folks gotta start putting some respect on Priest Holmes name!

If you have to ask that, you are wasting my time.

The fact that people were stupid enough to bring up an immobile qb playing on a bad knee to that of a player at a position whose knees are their livelihood is dumb.

The camera showed him on the sideline wearing his helmet and that dumb shyt became a story.

Not a thing changed about me. That shyt was dumb then and is dumb now a decade later :camby:

We don't need to act like guys aren't judged by playoff success in football. QBs are 100% held to that fire. RBs not so much but it stands out when you have guys who light up the postseason (Davis, Marshawn), and when you have guys who just don't but are All-Time regular season warriors like Diet Faulk...

QBs are the only NFL players measured like NBA players when it comes to the playoffs. So kill that dumb shyt.

Walter Payton and other greats at RB put up shytty numbers in the playoffs. They didn’t suddenly “forget” their RB instincts in a one game playoff.

shyt is a dumb ass assertion and the LT thing was what I called garbage from jump. Who the fukk think a long time stiff like Phillip Rivers required flexibility in his knee to the same degree as an RB? That shyt was day one dumb.

Exactly. It wa.some stupid, media driven, drivel. How could LT play RB on a messed up MCL? Impossible. No one holds it against Barry that he had awful playoff performances, because RBs are not judged that way..Never have, never will. Too easy to neutralize an RB in a one game situation. Happened to Walter, Barry, Earl, Adrian, LT, Henry, etc...They also fail to mention hos dominant LT was in the 2006 playoffs when he was healthy. New England had no answers. They just stopped running the ball, for whatever reason.
