Is CM Punk's lengthly reign helping bring cred to the title or hurting him?

Numbers dont lie, man:smugfavre:

What numbers? The only numbers to look at are merchandise & the Survivor Series buyrate. Ratings don't matter anymore & the WrestleMania buyrate isn't reliable, because people who don't order a PPV all year will order Mania because it's Mania.

On the subject of Punk, his title run is what it is at this point. Nothing is bringing cred to the title, it would probably make the title feel like it means more if he was the one debuting a new look for it. The current one looks retarded on everybody, even Cena now that his goofy ass don't even rap.

The only thing hurting Punk is booking.

The only numbers are when Punk and Rock are on the same show. One is watched much more than the other and Rock has already outdrew everyone in pro wrestling at the September point of the year.

Youre out of your goddamn mind if you think Mania would of done any number like that without Rock carrying that show. Until he came back...WM was flopping since Mayweather showed up in 2008. WM ticket sales were huge back last november because of Rocks return to the main event. He carried pro wrestling.....AGAIN.

At least you waited until mid day this time. You're improving, little guy.

Phillip Brooks and those ratings though..how's that shyt going every week? Last anyone heard, it was 2.83 and some kind of embarrassing nightmare of a number in the last hour. Disappointing. Worked shoots don't equal money being made. A lesson well learned by now.

:comeon: you can't compare that shyt with Punk & Rock. Punk doesn't have his appearances promoted weeks in advance because he only shows up every so often like Rock. Their Mania build-ups are all you can compare because that's when Rock showed up & nobody can say that Punk/Jericho was as big as Rock/Cena. But nothing is as big in WWE in their eyes as what Cena is doing & adding Rock to that even part time of course put that over the edge. In simpler terms of course Rock is more watched because it's a special appearance when he shows up, meanwhile Punk is there every week.

Mania tickets always sell out regardless of what's on the show. He did bring the number of buys up though so :manny: I guess. The Rock has never carried pro wrestling.

None of us give a fukk about that shyt Eric because we aren't seeing any of that money and we don't look at these guys like father figures. :umad:

How about you send 100 tweets to CM Gawd and ask him how he feels? He might even make your day and respond.

Or do you only do that to the Rock and Cena? You're a fukking weirdo.

HUH? Punk isn't promoted all show? He's not built up now? He doesn't get graphics shown over and over and over again when he's doing a promo or a match? That's some fukking news to me:laugh:

It doesn't matter if the Rock is there part time or as special appearance. Fans can CHOOSE to watch him or not. They do it. They watched the Wedding segment...600k at first..Rock's music hits..extra 575k. Just like that. That's power. That's real.

Mania tickets always sell out? Since fukking when? They've been struggling in the Cena era and giving out fake numbers instead of real ones and shyt:laugh:

The Rock carried pro wrestling in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, every thing he touched in 2003 basically was what was being talked bout in the industry over any of that other shyt, 2011, and this year. The Rock has carried WMs, Summerslams, and Raws like no one else in history except for Hogan and Steve Austin.

NOBODY gave a fukk about anything last year except for the Rock's return and the numbers proved it. Sure...CM Punk did a worked shoot but what did that do? Mediocre numbers. Average ratings. And in the end, he got played by Nash/Stephanie/Cripple H on some RVD type shyt ala 2002.

The Rock gets that too, but also gets 3 weeks of hype before the actual show just to come out & give the same catchphrase filled promo.

Of course they watch him he is The Rock, most people like the guy. Not sure what you're talking about with the wedding segment as Rock had nothing to do with that. Care to link me to some quarter hour breakdown of the rating for the 1000th episode?

The buyrates may be down but they sell the building out.

Not really, Hogan & Austin are the only ones to really "carry" wrestling. Rock is a part of the group WWE had but he wasn't "carrying" shyt by any means. I like the Rock but you can't "carry" something if you're only around twice every 6 months.

Once again if they had said 3 weeks in advance & told you every week that Punk was going to give an incredible promo, more people might have CHOSEN to watch it. It happened at the end of a match with no build up to something awesome that was about to happen, same thing with Nexus. Everybody was talking about it the next day but I doubt the ratings for the first Nexus attack are impressive. As for the HHH/Nash shyt, he can't control what the son-in-law of the owner does.

You damn sure don't speak in sense either considering the whole industry is a work unless money gets made. Who the fukk is CM Punk without the Rocks/Austins/Hogans/Flairs? A complete zero.

Little AJ outdrew him...that's not "fakkit" speak. That's just FILED:boss:

:what: when did you turn on Based Punk? I remember on :hamster: that you were on the Punk bandwagon before he dropped the pipe bomb.
