Irv had Ja way before they were working on Mic's first album though, so I'm not mad at him for always being loyal to Ja. They were all together back then. Irv got them a deal with the same label that Mic was on, TVT. They actually dropped some shyt on the label before Mic's album even dropped. Like a year before. I just think Mic didn't want to get caught in the mix there. Ja stuck with Irv through all kinds of shyt, bad press, court trials, street issues, etc. Mic kinda dipped right after the second album flopped.

not debating with you because you know your shyt, we are pretty much giving history lessons here so bouncing off you, nothing but respect....

but for history's sake, Mic was the very first rapper signed to TVT. shyts Real was pressed independently before they signed to TVT, then later re-released after the deal came. shyts Real was recorded and pressed in 93 before CMC release their first single. they hadnt released anything before shyts Real came up, much less signed with TVT. then came Masta IC, then the Natural single and album subsequently. Mic was slow at working on songs, so he was signed almostt two years before the album was even released. CMC dropped their first single in 94 then signed their deal and the single was re-released, just like Mic.

I tried it, I try a lot of shyt to support and if I dont like it I dont like it. I didnt like the acting or writing. so I only watched like two episodes.

Because I've seen Irv go to the bat crazy for his people. I saw him work mad hard to get Flush his deal with TVT, and network like crazy and make mad calls to get him that production lineup he had on there. Dude got him beats from Beatminerz, Hi-Tek, LES, Buckwild, etc. He works hard for his crew. I just think that Mic didn't want to fukk with him anymore. Irv wanted to oversee that second album, and Mic wanted to do a Bad Boy type project, and then it flopped. Irv always said that he tried to warn him not to do that. I think the relationship really soured after that.

Mic definitely fukked up fukking with Puff though. that wasnt him. I cant say he regrets it but it was disappointing to his fans, and the album was actually good, I copped it day of...but that single was horrible.

for the record not saying Irv is a bad dude, just that it seems like him and Mic's personalities clashed. Irv is a cocky dude and Mic is an introvert as the other poster said.

It always rubbed me the wrong way when people randomly tell the world about themselves in this way. Not even on some ego shyt but it seems like they trying to convince themselves. It comes off more insecure to me than anything. And I’m not even saying that to discredit Irv because he busted his ass.

I will say this, if that's the straw then you should've been said something. I would let Irv, Irv. He probably getting his promotion on! If I'm good, after all these years do you, that line ain't gone move me 1 way or another but... to each. Peace

Both had a disagreement and their personalities didn’t mesh well. That type of shyt happens all the time. From reading everything it doesn’t seem like either one was wrong. Just disagreed.

yeah, I can see how it can be feelings on both sides. Mic didnt want to sign a production deal because he didnt feel Irv was a top producer yet, but he still agreed to let Irv the bulk of his production. Irv wasnt feeling that so he focused more on building his brand and less on Mic. I am big on loyalty. I would hope that they could work together in the future and bring Caddy back too.

Irv has a chip on his shoulder because Mic G didn't believe in his vision.

Irv grew to become a marketing genius, and Mic G was super marketable. We have see Irv make mega millions with less marketable talent. But Irv comes across insufferable in most stories where he is mentioned, so I can see why Mic might have wanted to get away from him. Also a lot of things Irv likes to do hip-hop purists find corny.
