Not sure what your reading. But your study says there is an achivement gap for low-income students.

it shows an achievement gap for low income students, and it also shows that there is racial gap within low income students, so that low income asians perform better than low income blacks and even worse, low income asians perfom better than high income blacks

in other words black students are performing worse regardless of income

how do you know this?
:comeon:

Man this is why it's so annoying to converse with you. You claim to advocate charter programs because they can provide specialized programs, but now you want to act as though specialized programs aren't important.

You like to say "everything should be on the table" but then you spend plenty of time trying to discredit proven ideas.

:ohhh: I forgot who I was talking to, my bad bruh carry on

Dont run. Listen to yourself

You say specialized tutors cost too much so they shouldnt be put into the budget but then you say peet tutors dont know what they're doing because their uneducated. Why do kids do bad in school, because they dont understand fundamentals or they outright did not study. How do you ensure that they understand the fundamentals and lessons they learn? Tutors nikka.

If the government is concerned about education i think the government should invest in a company like Sylvan and incorporate some kind of fundamental instruction centers for kids who are falling behind at a low cost. At least this way when the kid fails in class, it wont be because they dont know how to do the simple stuff. It will be because they were texting and throwing paper airplanes.

look at the data. Asians have higher scores regardless of their income levels.

In the economically disadvantage pool, Asians have higher scores, in the not economically disadvantage pool, Asians have higher scores.

Yes, lower economic status depressed scores overall, but when controlling for income, children from superior cultures have the highest scores.

Intra-group differences within economically defined strata are clearly explained by the superiority of Continental Asian culture.

I don't disagree with you. I never said the students shouldn't get the tutors. I said either way they will need more money. And if a school is failing the majority of its students peer tutors aren't the answer. Yes the gov should invest something like sylvan, but they won't because people will keep quoting these studies that show the students don't deserve more money.

OK Asians are superior. You want a cookie?

Now that we got that out of the way. Your data shows that income plays a big roll in achievement regardless of race.

i said that charter schools and private schools that work address culture, and that is why they work, it doesn't matter if you have specialized program or not, im not even sure what you mean by specialized programs

and how is peer tutoring not a "specialized program", peer tutors is a "specialized program" and it does address culture, its important for black kids that are faster to teach other black kids that are behind, and its free, it doesn't require money, it might require a change in teaching method and culture, so props to mowgli for the idea, its a cheap idea

i dont think its an answer to everything but i dont see how anybody can knock it

All you gotta do is take the good students who like to help and give them some kind of credit toward their GPA to do peer tutoring after school. Gather kids from a bunch of schools around the district and house them all in one building or a few buildings that way 1 school isnt carrying the burden for just their school. Get the whole district involved because the community as a whole is going to suffer if these kids stay dumb.

Mowgli for mayor. :win:
