Breh he isn’t FDR 2.0. Besides to truly fix America’s infrastructure it would cost $5 trillion. But it’s better than nothing but it’s not real a transformative bill like the New Deal. Biden isn’t FDR or LBJ. He is just a tad bit more liberal than Obama and Clinton. :manny:

I disagree. They did the best that they could but they know the tendency to blame progressives for everything and now Biden will owe them one.

I doubt he will do this. He said he will only do it if Congress presents a bill for him to sign. I don’t see student debt relief being a reality.
I agree, but he made calls to get people on board. I assume he had to promise something. I not buying the narrative that Jayapal is just weak

If he had promised student debt relief AOC, Omar, etc. would have voted yes. Most likely whatever promises Biden made pertained to BBB.

Why would they. This gives them a chance to look strong and take credit later on.

Talking about future expenditures publicly creates a new issues with senate moderates who are looking for reasons to tank good bills.

I may end up being wrong after months of holding the same position, but Joe gets this done and everyone from the left to the right Wil be able to parrot their talking points.
