Why am I not surprised at that reaction, he's basically you. In the least far closer to you than you are to most any of us.
It's just a different perspective. I know it upsets you to see other opinions that aren't your own.Why am I not surprised at that reaction, he's basically you. In the least far closer to you than you are to most any of us.

The truth is bold sweeping legislation that will transform America has been dead.
It was difficult before and it's likely going to be impossible as long as inflation is high. Manchin is a bad faith actor and not a reliable negotiating partner, but he gambled on inflation the first time he tanked BBB and that gamble has paid off giving him cover.
You're attempting to have a conversation about whether Manchin is ethical and where he falls on the political spectrum.Opinions other than my own are wonderful, I've spent most of my life engaging with them deeply which is why my positions on many issues have grown tremendously since my youth, rather than remaining static or simply conforming to the people around me.
The issue here is not "opinions that aren't my own". The issue is disingenuous bullshyt and constant goalpost shifting by bad faith actors that doesn't appear based on the slightest firm foundation but is merely thrown out there to cause trouble in the debate.
Manchin negotiates this bill the exact same way you debate on the forum.
It's dead solely because of him. And you've repeatedly defended him. And the inflation argument is ridiculous considering that raising taxes on the rich will help combat inflation while increasing safety nets for the poor, working class, and middle class will help them survive it. United Mine Workers of America are begging Manchin to vote for the bill and he's ignoring them because he represents the coal owners (like himself), not the coal workers.
Yea, I don't think it's enough to claim any sort of victory. Especially when you promised so much from the beginning and have basically gutted the best aspects of BBB.This is looking like the best case scenario, but the thing that bothers me is this part: "The choice: Complain and threaten to vote no, or unite, declare victory, run on this and elect more D senators to finish the rest." I'm tired of this attitude already. It's so ridiculously out of touch. Voters are not stupid. That is clearly not enough to claim victory and run on and the impact it would have on the midterms is so tiny it's not even worth bringing up in the same sentence. I know she's just a journalist, but its the same shyt coming from the Dems. Remember the reports about how shocked the DNC was when the BIF didn't move the needle after they were thinking it was going to be looked at as a big win. I better not see that same bullshyt if this is all they push through.
This is just commentary on the tweet, not a response to you, @Pressure
They could have passed one of those compromise bills back in November of last year and look to take up some other targeted piece of legislation this year.
That's fair. My issue is they haven't held him on his word at any point and have allowed him to weasel out of numerous positions he's offered up himself. They constantly let him dictate the terms and be the first person running to the media dictating the message and the terms. That's a pretty big assumption considering all of his subsequent behavior.
he still won't realize this is a simple good cop bad cop rendition where the Dems got more power then they expected. He's so retarded he follows this daily but it's still being emotionally manipulated to make death threats against senators onlineI’m so glad we have right wing democrats to basically destroy anything that makes the country better because their corporate masters command it.
Hope someone (redacted) Manchin and Sinema
