Why can't these popular objectives just be voted on separately and have everyone be on record for voting against it. Who's the a$$hole that's going to vote against extending Medicare to cover hearing and vision for seniors. We might as well carve out smaller bills.
If you do smaller bills, you need 60 votes to bypass the filibuster.
Dems don’t have votes to get rid of the filibuster. So anything sharpening is through the budget reconciliation process and you can do that once per fiscal year.
The whole reason everything was put in reconciliation is cause you only need 50 + VP.
I wonder if the white house will reject the pipeline approvals Manchin wants.
The simple answer is the filibuster.
