I use to think people were over exaggerating when they say wealthy elites have a huge disdain for working class people but its evident now more than ever. Its not just a matter of wanting to not pay taxes and being fiscally conservative, these people genuinely look down upon the working class.

Yeah, I got shyt when I said at this point the Dems are better off without Manchin but what did I tell yall about this guy:francis:

Not only did he never have any intention of voting for anything on the Dem agenda aside from COVID relief, but dude is intentionally sabatoging the Dems so he can be a hero to conservative cacs in WV. He was never going to vote for BBB regardless and all his "demands" were nothing more than a bad faith attempt to run down the clock. :francis:

He's going to be a no on voting rights and anything else Dems want to do. Literally the only reason to keep dude in the party is Supreme Court picks and I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls similar shyt on that.

Yup!

And unfortunately, a lot of us have that disdain for the working and lower class. We take in the wealthy narrative and make it our own.

Because it works in deluding the American media and public. GOP been playing that game for 40 years.

Why do politicians always use the deficit as excuse when they don’t want to support a bill with any form of spending attached? But they would bloat a bill and decrease it’s efficiency without a care in the world about said spending ..:russ:
They'll support a corporate bailout in a heartbeat though:mjpls::wow:

Very true. It has a lot to do with this hyper individualistic culture we've been fed. Its all a big grift that keeps us distracted from holding the wealthy accountable and thinking like actual citizens of a country.

I gotta give it to Conservatives, they have demonstrated their marketing genius time and time again.
Or maybe We as a population are just not sophisticated enough to realize their game? :jbhmm:

Emphasis on "we", because I see democrats falling for their sorcery too.
