You did when you said this:
"just wanted bring up a stupid counter point of black men getting women of different races for centuries after@@cocoette mentioned how Arab men had African women as slaves."
No I was addressing when cocoette said this:
"yes the admixture is even higher than ones between whites-blacks
the majority of these mixtures were between berber/arab men and their african slave women you know."
She had the same problem most people have when differeinating blacks from Berbers. Berber is just a language group. But anyways I went on to say that it was mostly African men(Berbers) having white female slaves. Which is why I brought up North African Y-DNA in the first place. Why? Because it would tell us in a way who were the enslavers. If it were mostly Arabs having African females then you would see modern day male Y-DNA in North Africans being mostly Middle Eastern, but that's not the case, since African E-81 is around 80% + in North Africa. Thats why I said African slaves were low on the list and Arabs enslaving Africans/blacks is sometimes exaggerated. Arabs having black slaves in large numbers didn't come until the 19th century.
I meant she said that the "mixtures were between berber/arab men and their African slave women." Which is only part true.
She could have meant Arabs buying slave women from the Swahili coast and bringing them to Arabia. If she meant North Africa then she is incorrect.
As for why I bought up modern day North Africans being the result of African men and European women, it was just to further back up my argument. With African men having non black slaves then the other way around which is non blacks(prior to the 19th century) having lots of Africans slaves when again African slaves were low on the list.
I said I think @KidStranglehold just wanted bring up a stupid counter point... meaning I'm drawing a conclusion. I never said that is what you said.
You are talking about the slavery in Medieval Times for some reason. I know that slavery in Medieval Times and even in Ancient Times was not race based, most people here are talking about 17th century slavery and beyond when slavery became race based.
Arabs had African/black slaves in the 19th century it is easy to deduce that those men raped those women and some of those women birthed Arab/African children which contributed to a percentage of modern day Arabs having African DNA. I'm almost positive that is what @cocoette was referring to.
Again it baffled me as to why you brought up slavery in Medieval Times, because when most people refer to slavery that are talking about race based slavery. That is like someone bringing up slavery in Ancient Rome when discussing slavery in North America, one has very little to do with the other.
