Dope post @The HONORABLE SKJ .. Shoutout to all the artist sacrificing blood, sweat, and tears to get in the game when all you needed was Ari Gold and a friendship with the president .
A nikka really said he would rather rappers pretend to be gangsters and push a negative image, than pretend and push a positive image yall coli nikkas some of the most ass backwards people
How many times is this type of thread going to get made? When is everyone going to realize it's about $$$. If you have someone backing you to get placements at SXSW and other showcases, it puts you on the radar and shows you're serious. The dumbest thing any artist can do is say screw all of that, I'm going to do it the old fashion way and "get discovered". News flash that shyt don't happen. Wendy Day has a whole course on youtube on how everything works for those that are interested.
because you don't just BECOME a bossYou know what I don't get @The HONORABLE SKJ is how more nikkas ain't into the business side of this shyt. These nikkas claim to be bosses and shyt but the real bosses is Doug Morris, John McClain, Jimmy Iovine, Clive Davis, and Tommy Mottola. These guys are the real movers, shakers and power players.
You said quote 3 good Chance bars like he doesn't have any
who likes his music? So after reading that
Is everyone that likes his music is robots who were programmed?
U dudes love to call plant on music u don't like from artists u don't like getting shining more than folks u like
And I'm not a chance fan
Has not heard a full chance song in my life
because you don't just BECOME a boss
those dudes aren't artists... they don't have to spend the majority of their time doing artist shyt.. they have time to build business relationships and go to school and learn shyt and take internships and be groomed and watch the shyt go down
now if you're talking about why all these internet rappers don't just focus on being label honchos.. well yea.. everyone wants to be a star
i guess i'm not understanding your question?Yeah well duh (lol) I know that. You work ya way up but u know what I mean lol
i guess i'm not understanding your question?
WHO should be bossing up for real?
all i'm saying is if you meant artists... they don't have that type of time.. even a jay-z didn't start bossing up till he "retired" and he still technically a worker since he's on a label.. it's just too hard to be doing both

basically you're jealousI think its more a sense of authenticity.
I would rather an authentic gangster than a lying positive artist. I know that sounds bad but many in here say "does it matter he is a plant?" but then he keeps throwing it in our face that he is indie; so whether or not it matters to us, it matters to him, hence the need to rehash how indie he is.lol
Im here trying to start my label with 0 support doing music full-time. Doors get closed on my face on the daily. Check my post history; I've associated with everything from Epidemic/Sobe to most recently TDE and I've come to the conclusion its easier to get admitted to Hogwarts School of Magic than to make it in music. I've came a long way this last year post-TDE that I've build a lil fanbase for myself and label but its taken a lot blood, sweat, tears and fears. Then to see someone blow up with a snap of fingers and continuously throw the "indie" label around that I embody....then to find out its not really indie....
what happened to keeping it real?
