Swann has busted his ass(pause) for the company from day one ever since the E panicked and released him. Give him a shot.

A witness told police that Riggs jumped out of Swann's slowly moving car.

The report says the witness also saw Swann put Riggs in a headlock and dragged her back to his vehicle.

Riggs "screamed for help as (Swann) put her back in the car," the officer wrote in the report.

Stupid bytch.

The only way for Impact to salvage this is to have Tessa laid out at the start of the PPV and unable to compete. Have Impact throw together a 3 or 4 way number one contender's match and have someone like Daga win that. Then a little later on the show you show him laid out in the locker room with like Madman Fulton's bandana or whatever... something that makes it look like Callihan had his boys jump him because Callihan is too shook to wrestle tonight.

When it's main event time you have Callihan in the ring looking for a forfeit because he doesn't have an opponent. You have Rich Swann step up to the plate and Callihan accepts because he's confident that it'll be an easy match because Swann wrestled earlier and he can't resist an opportunity to beat Rich again because of their history. You have Rich win the match and then in the later weeks it comes out that Willie was behind the attacks not Callihan and Willie did it for Rich. Swann rejects that sort of help because he doesn't want to win that way and Willie turns on him and that's your next main event feud.

That's a great idea

It won't happen

Don Callis loves Tessa. Won't surprise me if she won and they just turned her heel and leaned harder into her racist tendencies

And will try to re-sign her to a huge contract at the expense of everybody else.

Victims of domestic abuse refusing to cooperate with prosecution is a whole, documented phenomenon. It doesn't mean the incident didn't happen. Doesn't mean that there weren't witnesses.

Why don't you have that same energy for situations like Taryn and Drew or Melina and Morrison? Seems like whenever it's a female dealing with it, you pop outta nowhere like the Caddyshack gopher.

Both of those incidents were 10+ years ago, neither of the couples are still together, and neither of the perpetrators are working at a high level in wrestling. (And I did call out Melina when she posted John's protected health information on social media. That's just dreadful.)

So, your save for this is booking spousal abuser Rich Swann to win instead of Tessa?

My save for this is to book a consistent, capable and reliable black man whose talents and dedication to his craft warrant the opportunity in a manner which:

  1. Facilitates another consistent, capable and reliable black man becoming champion.
  2. Is consistent with current storylines (the slow Willie Mack turn)
  3. Is consistent with past storylines (Rich Swann and Willie Mack v. oVe) so there is long term booking there.
  4. Is consistent with all of the characters involved.
  5. Creates inter-linking sub-plots as well.
I'm aware of Rich Swann's past indiscretions but he's been a model citizen (in public anyway) since, has performed well for his employers, has held championship gold for the company without courting any controversy. Life goes on. He has moved on, Su Yung has moved on. They have moved on together. Tessa Blanchard is nuclear right now and is showing no remorse right now. Give Rich Swann his shot.

Dragging your domestic partner off the side of the road and into a car is not an indiscretion. In the same way that the majority of this forum (basement-bound weirdos aside) is fully on team fukk Tessa, I'll be standing over here on team fukk Rich Swann pretty much permanently.
