I think people are in this mindset where you pay the top 10 guys max and everyone else gets a MLE contract. Things don't work that way. There's only like 10-15ish players who are worth a max - there are 30 teams and you have a salary floor. You have to use that money.
I'd rather give Quickley that $$$ than old ass Klay
He just turned 25 but the point remains. He's still young and has room to improve. He's only started like 68 games his entire career
