A group of black gay men are suing the sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha claiming gender discrimination and homophobia, according to KollegeKidd.

The sorority, which was founded on the Howard University campus on January 15, 1908, is the oldest and most renowned sorority for black women.

The group of men, also known as "MIAKA's," made waves a few years ago when they opened their own unoffical chapter of the female sorority at Texas Southern University and Prairie View A&M.

The male fraternity posed in pink and green and wore pearls, a few years ago in photos that surfaced online. They even threw up their pinky fingers which is a sign of the female sorority.

My wife and daughter are in this because if society had to accept theese people as women than my wife and daughter have to compete with them and interact with them as equals. If I send my daughter in a girls restroom and a dude walks up in a wig and goes in. How do I know if he's really gay or just a perv in a wig tryin to peak at lil girls. I'm married so I'm cool, but you straight dudes should worry about this. If society accepts transgendered dudes as women, chances are you could unknowingly marrie a dude, and that's not cool. Society categorizes things for a reason, so we all can know at least what were dealing with. All im sayin is I'm a young heterosexual black male, people view and treat me accordingly. Why do we have to conform and accept what a small portion of society thinks is right. If I am treated as my category dictates than gay people should be treated that way as well.

Gay’s shouldn’t pretend like they don’t have basic human rights. Other rights groups have fought for basic rights. Gay’s want extra sh1t. If I was a fakkit then I could still be doing everything I’m doing in my life right now except having kids with a woman. The problem is most people see homosexuality as a lifestyle when being in love with some one is based on very profound and very innate feelings. What most people focus on is the sexual aspect of it so they dont see it as a meaningful part of a persons identity therefore they cant understand why someone would make a big deal about it. I think what also confuses people is that when we talk about someone who is gay we refer to their identity as their "sexuality" which may give some people the impression that everything about the person is reduced down to sex but it goes beyond that. It would be like saying racism is simply about skin color when culture is at least just as big a factor, probably a bigger factor.
