"I'm spiritual but not religious." Help me out y'all. What does this mean?

That's me. I think organized religion is bullshyt but I have my own spirituality that is not associated with any religion. You must be one of those types that thinks that someone who isn't Chrsitian is automatically atheist as if you have to be Christian or even follow a specific religion to believe in God, aren't you?

Like i mentioned above, i've gone out on dates or even been in short relationships and when the chick found out I'm a christian that goes to church, tithes, lives a righteous life and all that suddenly they dropped they are not religious but spiritual,

its just the typical chameleon way people are these days both genders, if they really like someone or are attracted they will start going to church, they will start loving football etc.

I do not know. I would imagine because they feel they don't need it. Or maybe cause it's a lot of work. Or because they'd feel like they're duping people. Who knows.

It means to believe in the higher power without the pressure of religion.

I'm not religious because of my beliefs, I believe in God. I don't believe in the words of a man who supposedly was/is a representative of God.

Religion is good for some people, but for others and I, it is not. Certain things we just know, we know right from wrong. You don't need religion to tell you what is right and what is wrong because its been imprinted on you. A lot of people follow religion because of what it promise and it gives answers to certain questions that people have.

People should find answers on their own and explore the world without a religious mindset.

For me, it means your in tune with your spirituality but you don't adhere to any religion but everyone sees spirituality differently. I see it more as enlightenment, self-awareness, opening your third eye, meditating, things like that which don't necessarily belong to any one religion.
