Every one of them are saying they wouldn't do anything they did differently in their NFL careers, they are happy the years they had playing, etc etc etc

So wtf you suing the NFL for? :ld:

What are their motives? It seems like they want their cake and eat it too. On one hand, they complain that the NFL is pussifying the league, yet on another hand they are talking to their lawyers to squeeze money out of the player safety cause. Like, you knew the dangers that came with playing this game. Big hits are applauded, QB protection is frowned upon, etc.

How you play a violent sport like football and not expect to get hurt ? How do you collect a millionaire's paycheck yearly, but then stand in line to file lawsuits about your safety when you knew DAMN WELL everything involved in the profession you signed up for?

Idk, am I missing something?

shyt is like soldiers suing the U.S. army for losing a limb in battle cuz the U.S. army didn't "do enough to protect it's employees". Wtf? you knew the potential consequences.

Seriously, someone help me out. What exactly is the players' stance on this?

4000+ players and former players suing the NFL :wow:

Now don't get me wrong...I'm usually on the players side 95% of the time but I just can't agree with 'em here. :yeshrug:

The D (where it's so cold)
Yeah, Lomas Brown completely fukked up his own point by saying he would play his career the same way he played with no regrets. I mean what's the argument then? You can't sit up here and just claim it isn't about the money, to Lomas' credit he does make some good points but it seems like it's the players trying to point fingers instead of taking responsibility.

Just another instance of people not wanting to take responsibility for their actions. Others are just jumping on the bandwagon hoping to get a check.

Check this out:

lets say there's this supermarket in your city with the best prices out there. You like going there because you get to buy a lot more food than would be possible if you went to them other supermarkets.

What happens if one day while buying shyt there you slip on a wet spot and break your hip. Doctor tell you will have problem walking again.

what would you do:

1) Be a good nicca, collect disability checks from gov :ld:

2) Get the grinch grin on your face and call up your lawyer :skip:

How can you know the risk of something, choose to do it anyway, get paid handsomely for it and then get mad because more wasn't done to protect you. :wtf:

I don't get it either. Neggas know damn well they will get hurt and they roid up to make the fast money and live large. Thing is roids and the abuse on your body catch up with you sooner or later. Sad part is neggas were out to hurt each other and get mad when they get flagged for a bad hit.

Now, they wanna sue ? :wtf:

Neggas had scholarships and teachers were giving em straight As without even attending class, but they never used it to their advantage of that. They could've easily gotten some bs degree or just get their financial knowledge up. They'd rather play and keep their mind on fame and money. Now that the money's getting dry, neggas wilding out and asking for a change :smh:

I'm pretty sure most of them that say they wouldn't do anything different is because there was not the same amount of knowledge available back then as there is now. So they did not know everything.

Add in the fact that even modern players still can't get guaranteed contracts, and the league has already made disability payments to former players for their injuries, why not?

Dog...you hit the nail on the head.

I know @mastermind and I got into it last year over this, but going as far back as being 10 (which is long time ago in Reb years and long before these studies came out) that one could hurt their head playing this sport. But I and everyone else knew what we were getting into.

If I were the NFL, i'd make these niqqas sign a waiver saying they aren't liable for any health related head issues that come with playing this sport.

It's amazing that given the nature of the sport that they don't do this already. If you would have asked me a couple of years ago I would have thought this was common practice.

For real dog.

I'm sort of pissed that these older players feigning ignorance about what's happening to them.

I'm dealing with my own health issues now from the game, and I didn't sniff the NFL...but I knew what I was getting into. It's a fukking hurt sport. Why front like yall didn't know?
