Haiti was the most profitable colony for France in the 1700s...they werent eating dirt cookies back then. It wasnt until they rebelled and started killing their oppressor in 1804 (coli militants should appreciate that) thats when France put them in crippling debt and the US came with more restrictions to the point where haitians cant even farm for themselves.

Haiti is the poster child of what happens to a slave when they buck up against 'massa
