Not sure why yall are trying so hard to discredit OPs title. Hes recognized as a doctor everywhere except for the Coli apparently :snoop:

Anyway...

I slipped 2 discs in my lower back a few years ago while deadlifting. It still gets aggravated every once in awhile with certain movements. Is there any exercise you would recommend to help strengthen my back? Also, do you think this is something that can eventually heal or am I gonna have issues for the rest of my life?

Eventually a ruptured disc will heal, but it is still damaged, you will have good and bad days, i will suggest strengthening your core, planks, really work, but don’t go over board, I’ll see if i can find you some exercises

What do you think about the chiropractors on YouTube sharing "unique" adjustments online like Dr Gregory Johnson? Do you see yourself setting up a channel like that?

Here's an example

I don’t agree with just going around adjusting every segment, you are not being specific, and don’t have a clear purpose, in your treatment, plus some of his adjustments I’m confused on how he expects to get results just pressing shyt

:mjpls: Kind of makes me look at him and say what the fukk kind of practice you running,

I’m not big on YouTube as a way to attract patients, i thought about doing videos, on common issues people face, health wise, and some of my thoughts on it, but I need to buckle down and actually do it

Although I didn’t want to shyt on buddy, Nicole is actually right. If a Chiropractor and a Physical Therapist were in a hospital setting, they cannot be addressed as “Doctor” because it causes confusion with the actual MDs especially when you are around patients.

Just because you have an actual doctorate degree, does not give you license to use the title “Doctor”. It’s not even appropriate in academic settings. Individuals that have PhDs should be referred to as Professor instead of “Doctor” in the academic setting and nothing at all outside of academics.

You even have nurses that have PhDs in Nursing. They cannot be referred to as “Doctor” in a medical setting when actual MDs are around. It’s confusing to patients and those with MDs take precedence.
Facts....

Well documented, I'm a pharmacist with a pharm D in a hospital setting. My professional term is a "Dr. (Insert last name) and that's because I have my Pharm D(PhD).

But I'm not a DOCTOR in general sense. I can't write perscriptions, and don't practice in a specialty. Only medical doctors get called that in a hospital setting.

Even in other settings, a few of my friends are PA's & NP's. Same thing.... What op is saying very confusing and misleading. And it would NOT fly in a hospital setting anywhere in America... It's levels OP, it's definitely levels........

And what I’m trying to tell you is I’ve been in a hospital setting, and have friends who have as well and everyone has referred to them/me including documents, as Doctor

At the end of the day like i explained before, in accordance of the law I’m a doctor, my scope is gp/based upon the state and what they allow, but i don’t all of a sudden enter a hospital and my doctorate stops being my title

Where you work in NOLA? What your discipline? Didn’t know there was a doctor on here, plus in my neck of the woods...

I work at three different clinics in gentilly, upt, and West Bank, I’m a chiropractor

Last question from me... Do you think most people would benefit from routine adjustments even if they dont have a specific problem? If so, how often should a fairly healthy person receive treatment?

:ohhh: Damn you don’t say,

:francis: I told you how my education tract works, what would be the equivalent to medical schools residency is what we do while in school, :yeshrug:

3rd and 4th year of medical school involves the exact same structure. Residency is equivalent to a apprentice. You learn also while doing the work. Residency involves specialization. Even if you do family medicine or Med/Peds that still involves a level of specialization. Medical education is incomplete without a residency.
