Digital Nomad Pro tip.

Unlikely as it is if someone snatches your Laptop and it’s open they could get in it if they know basic IT security.

There’s a good chance that your Passwords are floating around on the dark web

You can keep your Laptop secure using a Buskill device

You can do the same thing with a Yubikey or Nitrokey but those are password protected you lose your Yubikey and good luck getting into your devices This secures the Laptop without losing your passwords.

As someone who has never booked on Airbnb, I vaguely remember some of your advice booking with the hosts outside of the platform. Is that something that mostly happens with international hosts or is it viable with domestic (US) hosts as well?

I'm weary of Airbnb in general (hidden cameras/liability/cancellations/discrimination/etc.), but I might look into for travel work purposes.

I don’t see why you can’t especially for a long stay. But in Litigeous america going off the platform opens both the Host and the guest up to legal issues i.e. The host isn’t protected if you damage the place and the guest can be arbitrarily kicked out without notice.

One other benefit of living overseas is the trust factor people tend to trust you more in other countries because you’re american.

Too good not to share.

insight on dealing with non Pro Colombian women:

Colombia is a socially conservative country, particularly for middle and upper class. You will be well served to read the Culture Smart: Colombia book and what it says about family life and relationships.

Especially for a non-pro you are looking for a potentially long term relationship, you need to understand first about their family situation and then their income stability.

Family first in Colombia. This also can shape a lot of what the relationship could be like. Single mothers are the norm, in fact Colombia has one of the highest % of single mothers worldwide. It's normal for adult children to live with their adult mother, who is often responsible for the care of her parents. Knowing what her family situation is can impact what type of relationship she can have. How much time she could spend with you and if she could travel. Early on in the relationship, perhaps after a few weeks, you will be expected to meet the family. Don't take that lightly, it's a big deal and typically signals that she wants a serious relationship. Or maybe she just wants a free dinner for the family (if she invites you to go out to eat with them). While it may feel awkward for you, it's your opportunity to shine. Enjoy being the center of attention.

Knowing your GF's real economic situation is important as that can also shape the relationship. IMO, income level is not as important as income stability. The job market is incredibly difficult for mature single women unless they have been in a career or a job for a long time, so it is often the case that adult children, especially boys, support their mother financially.

You will want to know where she lives as well as that enters into the economic dynamic quickly. Often online you'll be told that they live in one area of the city when in fact they live someplace else, often a lower estrado. Don't hold that against them. If you're in a major city, offer to send an Uber for your first date and they'll share their address. You can use google street view to get a sense of the area. For some people, that's a make-or-break situation if they are from a lower class area. Others are more open minded.

So class plays a part? Are those who are professionals/ upper middle class more conservative and less likely to be single moms?

not necessarily there’s a lot of single moms in Colombia but you have to determine what is a single mom.

In Colombia a single mom maybe a woman in a relationship with a Man who can’t afford to buy a house yet so he lives with his extended family and she lives with hers.

That’s a little different than a chick who just gets seeded by a ton of different yet similar brehitos.

But generally speaking a Middle to Upper class chick is far more likely to at least excercise contraception effectively.

A Poor woman will get seeded in hopes that the baby father will provide a lifestyle.

So you want to move to another country?

The requirements for expats are different for every country and change all the time but generally speaking you want to get started in the states before you move.

Contact the embassy they’ll tell you what they need.

Usually most countries want a long form Birth certificate apostilized by some government usually you can get this done at a DMV
An FBI background check
a Health certification from a doctor

and most importantly a Bank statement showing that you have some money and enough passive income to stay

speaking for Colombia they want around 950 bucks a month or 3 times the local minimum wage.

All documents translated in the official language of the country and apostilized.

I suggest using a lawyer but be careful in Africa or the DR because there’s tons of scammy ass lawyers.

There’s a legit Lawyer in Uganda you can search on Oshay duke Jackson’s youtube channel he interviewed his lady in summer 2023 ( depending on when you read this message)

I got an unofficial plug for Tanzania for anyone looking to move there.

More advice for sex tourists

If you don’t know you better ask somebody.

First of all the best tip to smash safely is to do it in a brothel. Again even if a brothel is illegal they have protection and quality control that you won’t get if you try to holla at girls yourself.

Seriously do yourself a favor and deal with brothel chicks especially if you’re on a short vacation.

Most nikkas want validation that you can’t get in a wham bam thank you ma’am brothel so they try the trickin’ with extra steps approch.

If you’re gonna do that I’d consider hollering through social media IG and Facebook is best and most importantly find the local Travel Trick Bum bar and holla at the experts. This is usually not a brothel or strip club but an actual bar or restaurant,

Usually someone has the Ho fax on her. If you don’t know where the local sexpat bars are use ChatGPT and ask for American expat bar in what ever city that you’re going to and you’ll find it.

The difference between major Colombian cities.

I have talked in detail of the difference between the DR and Colombia as a whole in Detail now I will talk about the differences in Colombian cities.

!. Cartegena

Bottom Line up front never been there and not really pressed to go but heard tons from people who’ve been there but take what I say with grain of Salt Barranquilla is like 2 hours away so what applies to Carty applies to Barra as well.

I tried to edit this to not make it so long and easier to expound upon as I go forward.

I can do this for Kenya Tanzania and the DR too.

1. Cartagena
Overall the flyest women in Colombia. Because it’s a tourist town women flock there it’s truly the Sosua of Colombia and dudes that have a lot of time in both rave about Carty.

Again better infrastructure overall better looking women nicer clubs. If you’re a classic weekend warrior type of sex tourist It’s better than Sosua however more crime so extreme goofballs will get hemmed up here because there’s a Colombia wide crackdown on extreme fukkery if you do something weird you will likely go to jail and not be able to bribe your way out of it or be banned from the country but you can still wild out just don’t go too crazy.

If you choose to deal with hoes a lot of airbnb’s have a no guest policy so watch that.

Other downsides super scammy culture full of hardcore beggars dirty water at the beach ( gotta go to the off shore Islands for clearer water.

Low key fukked up infrastructure a lot of flooding during the rainy season. Very Humid. Food decent costena food is the best in Colombia but again expensive. Airbnb’s and Hotels are even more expensive than in Medellin.

Not much to do other than Beach and water sports and clubs and chasing women.

Decent amount breh expats and visitors to put you on game fewer brehette expats who might hypocritically hate on you.

No official hang out joint but spots where you can meet brehs and brehettes easily.

2. Medellin.

I have spent extensive time here also low key don’t like it.

Extremely hilly hard to walk place so expect to spend way more times in Taxis/ Ubers than any place else they have a subway/ Bus system but it doesn’t go where you’d want to go in most cases there’s many nice neighborhoods outside of Provenza and Laureles but good luck getting out there by public transportation.

This really affects where you can go and what you can do for example Itagui and Sabeneta are wonderful places to live but if you live there you can forget going to hang out in Provenza or going to El Treasor Mall because it’s too far away you’d be at the mercy of an uber driver who wants to take you out there. The hills are massive I guess you can get used to them but walking down to the store for snacks will have you either getting a moto yourself or using Rappi ( their version of Door Dash) But a good clean city the overall cleanest city in Colombia and the city that has the most American things.

However overall the most dangerous city for expats as you’re targeted in Medellin in ways that you aren’t in other cities.

People aren’t friendly but not as rude as people from Bogota.

You have to be extremely careful of dealing with women in Medellin.

That being said there’s a lot of things to do and if you have a car It’s the city with the most varied things to do and to see and eat (I’m talking about food here)

Best overall weather in Colombia almost never too hot or too cold only time it ever got a little nippy was in the winter at night other time the weather is perfect rainy season isn’t super rainy. However if you like Hot weather it almost never gets really hot.

Downsides no Black neighborhoods relatively few Black people there are Afro Colombian dimes but they will usually be scooped up by expat tricks so some Afro Colombian women are low key stuck up by dealing with foreigners.

Strong fairly united expat and visitor community here they will put you on game is or was a ADOS hang out joint here.

3. Bogota the New York city of Colombia, obviously the richest city in the country a lot of things to do here ( they have a skydiving school with a wind tunnel ( they have a skydiving school in Cali but no wind tunnel) for the most part if it exists in Colombia you can find it in Bogota.

except good Colombian food very few Pacifico restaurants ( when you hear Pacifico think “ soul food”. As it’s the Afro Colombian version of that in fact usually you’ll see a Black woman with a head wrap on a Pacifico place.

Seafood is expensive here for Colombia same as Medellin relatively few Black people here and the Afro Colombians complain of racism here. People are rude as far as Colombians go ( but no where near as rude as Americans) decent amount of English speakers here small expat community in Bogota No hangout spot here. Decent shopping at the Malls comparable to El tresor in Medellin somewhat easier to get to.

Probably the overall safest spot for an expat, You can get got but no targeting like in Medellin less drugging but not none gift and a curse because you can let your guard down.

Cold by Colombian standards worse thing is the tempeture rises and falls quickly cold in mornings and nights warm in the afternoons so you’re forced to carry a jacket.

US embassy is there if you need it.

4. Cali Most Blackest big city in Colombia full of Afro Colombians doing things no real P.G. County but El Caney comes close you can meet professional and educated Afro Colombian women not desparate for your money. Less hoes overall and most women you meet won’t even think to get at you in that way.

Cali is the most Pro Black city in Colombia and you’ll see more natural hairstyles here than anywhere outside of the states or Africa. Again Perms are big here but there’s more Afro Haircare stuff here and better places to get your hair styled or cut for Black people than anyplace in Colombia.

Cheaper than all other big cities and one of the cheapest big cities in the western hemisphere decent infrastructure more of a Colombian vibe than all the other cities.

Food is good here almost on par with Costena Food in Cartagena. Carty has a mix of Arabic culture from Barra so they get the edge there. Hard to find exotic spices if you’re making some foreign dishes but it’s the place to be in you’re into Seafood and want Pacifico Food. The most Soul Food like food in Colombia.

Cali is actually the overall best party city in Colombia. Cartagena has the best hip hop clubs but if you like Salsa and dancing with locals Cali is the place to do it. There’s Rico Rich’s Bar to hear American music and there’s a decent english music station.

They also have a small but growing Reggae music scene in Cali.

High crime but it’s a gift and a curse because you’re head is one a swivel and the upscale areas are locked down.

More walkable than the other cities more malls. Less things to do however there’s a lake 45 minutes with water spots but no beach. Plenty of Water parks though.

Weather is nice if you like heat but rains more in the rainy season. Infrastructure is decent almost on the level of medellin better than Cartagena’s.

Strong expat community of Brehs I’d say better than Medellin’s expat community because Medellin despite having way more expats again they live in say Sabeneta they ain’t comming to a meet up in Provenza like that. The expat community in Cali is more concentrated especially with the Brehettes they live almost exclusively in San Antonio.

More sports related things to do in Cali more parks and more public gyms.

More information on Cali:

I’m clearly biased as I lived here for almost 4 years but since a breh asked behind the scenes I’ll expound.

Other good things about Cali, The medical tourism. Medical tourism is not notch with two of the countries best hospitals Valle del Lilli and Imbanco in Cali. There’s tons of plastic surgery spots for Dental Surgery to Hair replacement surgery and of course weight loss and BBL surgery

It’s cheaper than Medellin as is the cost of living as a whole rentals and recovery houses are cheaper too.

In fact the main reason a lot of Brehettes died in the DR is because they had underlying health issues that weren’t addressed and they went forward with the surgery anyway or they got a blood clot or an infection that should’ve been caught on the plane.

I had a friend who wanted to get some dental surgery and my dentist refused because he was about to get on a plane back to the states in the DR they wouldn’t have even asked.

My Dentist and my Primary Care was educated in the states at the University of Michigan and NYU Dental school and are fluent in English.

Tasha K got her veeners done at a clinic here so even if you just came for some cheap medical procedure that’s reason enough to come.

There’s a downside for some reason there’s a medication that I take that isn’t available at all in Cali. I don’t know why that is the case but it is so if you take certain meds bring them because although meds are cheaper here and you can stock up they may not have everything.

I’ll adress the walkable issue.

I know nikkas want to ball out but trust when I tell you when you go overseas you’re paying at least triple the real price of things. shyt can get annoying over time when you figure it out.

In Bogota it’s like New York you have to fight to get a cab they don’t stop where you are, I don’t know if that’s a racism thing or just a big city thing.. I’d say overall Bogota is more walkable than Medellin but not more walkable than Cali.

in Carty you have to worry about express robberies where a cab might kidnap you and press you to hit several ATM’s before letting you out in the middle of nowhere.

Doesn’t happen often but it doesn’t happen in other Colombian cities

The prices are automatically higher in Bog and Meddy than Cali.

You want the option to walk because there’s fees on top of the fare at night and peak traffic times then they round up from there and you know you’re being gipped.
