How was the leasing process for you? Anything to look out for as a American?

How much are you paying now? You said you are in the santo Domingo right?

How is your neighborhood

I'm paying 500 I paid 550 last month. Location matters here. You could get a place much cheaper though but unless you live in El Million, Piantini, Gazcue, Zona Colonial your risking blackouts.

That being said I do have a plug for spots in the 400 dollar range near the Presidental Palace.

Now a dominican would pay waaaaay less maybe half that but you'd have to trust them. The reason I didn't take the 400 buck place was because the lady wanted 3 months up front (normal in the 3rd world) and she only wanted cash. Had she accepted any kind of payment I would've taken the place.



My suggestion is to start looking at Airbnb's two to three months out then ask for at least a 30% discount. They'll almost defenitely take it. Then see if you like the place and the neighborhood and if you do offer to make a side deal to stay there and ask for a 20% discount off of that. They will accept.

I'd literally check Airbnb and Booking.com everyday and pick a place again two months out. I'm an Airbnb Host in Nairobi and there's an algorithm that suggests a price find the sweet spot and make the deal. Booking has less availibility and pays less to to host than Airbnb but you can cancel for free with Booking.com with Airbnb you're gonna pay cancellation fees everytime.

Agora.com also has places but I never dealt with them as a host or a guest but you can use it to gauge prices.

Uber works on an algorithm too, check InDriver and Didi and see that Uber price drop.

Btw the reason I pay more is because I have a view of the sea. I'm not facing the sea but I can see it out one window and on the side of my balcony.

Also could you find work in a store or something and cop a room and just chill for the rest of your life? If I get a couple hundred thousand stacked I want to do the same thing and just roll with that until my day is called.

Well this is why I tell brehs not to run down here. Now if you didn't have to pay rent and could draw unemployment or work remotely come on down.

But coming down with a bag no matter how big might fukk you up. That's why so many nikkas turn to Youtube. You're not getting a job in any of these countries. shyt is expensive. For example I like to rent ATV's and Motocycles. Depending on who you ask that can be 50 to 75 bucks a day. and a day means like 3 to 6 hours. I went o TGI Friday's here with a buddy, we got a couple of burgers and fries and some beers and that shyt came out to 40 bucks maybe double what it would've cost in the states. I like drinking Arizona Green Tea that shyt is like almost 3 dollars and it costs a buck in the states.

You go to the beach and you usually end up getting a room to hold your stuff while you swim that's usually 35 bucks or more.

I've seen a lot of repats move to Africa and lose money that they didn't count on and have to end up going back.

Speaking of Africa it is refreshing to see Black people run things and little animosity between Black people.

You got to keep in mind that shyt is bad down here. Tourism is barely holding things together and I guess that people are sending stuff from overseas. But there isn't a culture of sending stuff as it is in Jamaica it's more about sending money. I saw a chick spend 20 USD at the grocery store today.


I wouldn't count on getting a job down here. One other knock on the DR is the internet is kinda slow here. Slower than Kenya maybe even slower than Tanzania. I wouldn't come here if I had to remote work.

It doesn't work in the DR as well (mainly because it's a small country) but Facebook groups is a good way to find a place to live. People will post apartments that they are willing to rent and there's always Se Aquilla ( For rent) signs everywhere. Your main issue is the apartment itself, It's not like the US you can't judge a book by it's cover. You really should live in the place first Airbnb has a certain quality that you must have so it's way less likely that it will be janky. But the Facebook expat pages are good to gauge what it a halfway decent price.

Marwa got wifed up in Thailand and not only stopped tricking and started paying bills but he changed his whole channel up got her her own IG and channel. And she still bushed him. It's very easy to simp out on these chicks.

I haven't watched his videos in a long time so I don't know what happened there, but it's not the first time he's been played by a chick. I'm sure some shyt happened in Colombia with a broad too.

He's got good qualities as a person and I wish him the best, but the simpness and naivety rolls of him like heatwaves and shyt like that will make you get ate up in this world. Being all lovey duvvy not even 5 minutes after you meet a woman is a disaster waiting to happen.

It's also a lesson that just because a chick isn't from the west that it means she's going to be some subservient woman who caters to all your needs. Some dudes (not saying anyone on here) need to get off that because these foreign chicks aren't stupid and KNOW that's what western men think about them...that's part of the reason they have so much game. They can spot a trick/simp a mile away before he even opens his mouth.

Even if it was just for his brand's sake he should've kept that shyt to himself. He pioneered the Black Travel tricking shyt. He personally trained Ace and Philly Dom told them how to use bytches in Thumbnails and how to post just the right amount of ass to not get demonitized.


But yeah you get goofy nikkas who put foreigns on pedestals like they can't go left on you just because they cook a good meal and not cussing you out every five minutes. I don't know of one Youtube expat that's wifed up that isn't paying all the bills not just for her but for her family too, taking care of another man's kids and having to sneak around just to hang out with the fellas while yelling about "matrix bytches" and "the matix mentality".

The nikka "in the matrix" who can't get a passport because he owes child support is at least supporting his own kid and not someone else's.


Think there's some huge difference in women and female nature brehs.
