He can take that 40k and get a decent apartment :dahell: If he has 40k while just making 10 an hour hes obviously good decision wise with money

So now you want to live off your savings forever? eventually that 40K will run out. I didn't say 40 Million.

You missed the entire point of that post.. nobody laughed at it. having 40K in the bank w/ a dead end job is not saying much. The only part thats laughable is having 40K in the bank/living at home and not using that money for school to get a better job.

why? if he's happy in life.

If he has no stress from work and has money left over that he can save and enjoy life why hate :dahell:

I didn't say that. But he could be straight for a year or two with that money. You made it seem like homie was dead broke and was living check to check

I'm not hating. He can't live there forever, if he can't afford to move out, what is he going to do when he's forced to?( Parents dont live forever ). If you have to live in the hood/slums than so be it. Yall want to go from living in your parents house to some big ass house with a wife and kids waiting there for you.

Saving money is great, but it's only great if its used for certain things. not to live off of.

I didn't read the whole thread. but I thought that was the case? That he had a dead end job that didn't pay much, but went out and bought a Lexus and only able to afford the Lexus because he lives with his parents. And doesn't plan on moving out anytime soon..lol

obviously but id say him having 40k in savings and no debt hes ahead of 90% of americans if they were to lose their job.

LOL...There is a big difference between struggling and not eating/bout to be homeless. Struggling can merely mean cutting back on certain things and not being able to afford to do *fun* things.

whatever happened to just saving your money? why is it assumed that i gotta be pissing it away on *fun* things?

not eating or just cutting back........its the same chit at the end of the day. its all unneccessary if its avoidable.

im not subjecting myself to misery just because im worried about what some bitta nicca got to say.

If my parents had one of those 4 level houses and I had a full kitchen and living area downstairs and didn't really have to see them that much. And let's just say it was only them and no one else lived there. I would have stayed home until maybe 25 but that's it, they even told me we don't mind you staying here if you need to but we would rather have the house to our self. To me the best way to show them they raised me right. Is to show them I am able to take care if myself. It's not about impressing your boys or women it's about impressing myself and parents and showing them and more importantly myself that I can and am willing to take care of my self.. Oh and I keep food in my fridge

And if you miss rent at home nothing happens other than maybe a warning

Miss rent on your own you will get late fees and or kicked out

you mean a duplex?

ummmm.......your parents just dont want you there homie. i wouldnt live there either if im not wanted. lol.

i already moved out homie. before 25. lol.

you keep food in the fridge? thats wassup. cook that chit b. but you know most people dont keep the fridge filled, and most of them dont need to.

Yo this thread is hilarious!

fukk boi just said he don't trust a broad to take to his crib like that, but admitted earlier he took a bunch of joints to where his momma stay!

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS shyt UP!

The fact that this forum is mostly non-black makes it even more entertaining.

:dead:

you took that out of context, and i may have been sloppy with what i posted. thats not what i meant tho.

all jokes aside tho, it aint gonna be no more of that "f*ck boi" talk.

I Agree. my only complaint is he should be using that money to better himself while @ home and he shouldnt be buying a Lexus. His parents bought that Lexus indirectly..lol

If my son wanted to stay home after college. I have no problems with it. But he better be looking for a good job and forget about buying a luxury vehicle.

chicks think they winning renting a 1bdrm shack in the slums.

like i said before many asians, lations, Italians never live the crib until they are married.

only in teh black community is it a cardinal sin.

Yea I know. I mean don't get me wrong eventually you should leave( around mid 30s it would be ridiculous unless your parents are rich as fukk/have multiple homes) But fukk being a minimum wage bum renting. I go over some of my friends homes and just :snoop: Disgusting, smelly lobbies, loud ass neighbors, feeling the presence of roaches. But hey, they made it and their independent right?:sas1: I struggle when I lived on my own away at college as far as food, cell phone bills, etc. I just can't imagine doing that for the rest of my life. I ask them what do you plan on doing when you 45? You think you can live check to check waiting tables, working at wal-mart, etc? But they just can't see that bigger picture. And its not just blacks. Whites love living in fukking closets paying 1200 a month just for the privilege of living in a good(i.e all white) neighborhoods

See that's the thing. A parent should help their child out however they can. But it should be some type of agreement. While here you better be going to school/saving or wait until you find a better paying job. I'm not going to kick my son out so he can go live in a bad place. But while here he should be working to avoid having to live in a bad place when he moves out.

:obama:, keeping up with the joneses.

I have no reason to leave, parents only here 6 months out of the year, I have no wife, no kids. Leave in the morning at 630 dont get home till 5, barely home on weekends. I'm not paying 1,200 for some condo in some hipsterville so i can be consider cool.

I'll enjoy my 4,000 sq foot 7 bdrm house and continue to travel and live a good life :obama:

I don't know his entire situation. To me, it sounds like hes a spoiled guy fleecing his parents. But I commend him for having 40k( if thats true) while working minimum wage. Hell I have a little over that and I'm two years out of school(granted I have loans and other bills) Hes good if he something catastrophic happens unlike a lot of ppl in his situation

Y'all keep talking about these what if's? the job market, housing is expensive. Well what if his mother decides to throw him out tomorrow? Now what?

if he gets thrown out, then he has 40gs saved up, along with a job.

as opposed to living check-to-check and working just to break even. if you lose your job & get thrown out in the midst of that, then youre screwed.

You missed the entire point of that post.. nobody laughed at it. having 40K in the bank w/ a dead end job is not saying much. The only part thats laughable is having 40K in the bank/living at home and not using that money for school to get a better job.

lol. why you spending the bul's money?

you know how many people go thru school and dont even get a job in the field that he went to school for.

unless you have "IT", paying for school is a gamble.

So now you want to live off your savings forever? eventually that 40K will run out. I didn't say 40 Million.

who said hes going to try to live off 40k forever?

dude isnt even living off of that 40k now. and hes working.

It's not that serious, I can move back home and welcomed with open arms if I want to, I know because I have done it and I always leave before they think I should.. but don't nobody parents really want their kids their unless it's a special circumstance they just ain't gonna tell you that.. They raised you, you owe it to them to give them some freedom now that you are older
