probably not. but it was probably the first hip hop album with 4 big producers.

2pacalypse Now had 5/6 producers on the album.

Pretty sure Strickly 4 My by Pac had around 7 as well.

Illmatic had Premo, Large Proff, Q, and Pete Rock... It was a relatively new thing to get a young rapper like that working with all the biggest names in NY.

as in well known and respected in the hip hop comunity. can you find another album prior to illmatic with a better line up than dj premier, q-tip, large pro and pete rock.
