When it comes to hip hop TODAY, if an artist is prolific with releasing most of the time one producer albums sound the best for them. It’s good to have a multi producer album here and there in their catalog. The real issue is whether or not the artist can pick beats not the amount of producers. More single producers albums from some of your favorites in their catalog past 10 years have been trash but I won’t name any names. :sas2:

ok I'm not understanding this when Mel Man, Scott Storch, Mike Elizondo and Lord Finesse helped Dre create Chronic 2001 :russ: . And before anyone say that Elizondo was just a musician, he has production credits with well known artists. While I do agree that 1-producer albums are the best ones overall, there are more than a few classics with multiple producers.

How can multiple producer be the lead producer on one album? You phrased the shyt wrong.

WHAT ARE U SAYING?

U CAN BE A LEAD PRODUCER WITH A TEAM OF SESSION PLAYERS UNDER YOU…

THEY MAY OR MAY NOT GET CO-PRODUCTION CREDIT, BUT IF YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THE MUSICAL DECISIONS, THEN THAT MEANS U ARE THE PRIMARY PRODUCER

THATS WHY A CO-PRODUCTION CREDIT IS REGARDED AS LESS THAN A PRODUCTION CREDIT

A SESSION PLAYER IS NOT A PRODUCER

They still get production credits. If I cough on a track I'm getting paid. like @Rekkapryde said...

Storch - keyboard
Elizondo - bass (guitar)
Mel Man - Producer
Lord Finesse - Producer

on a dr.dre track.

this is exactly why the music industry has the reputation it does.

NOT REALLY..

BECAUSE PUBLISHING ONLY GOES TO WRITERS .. IF YOURE BASICALLY JUST BEING USED AS AN INSTRUMENT.. THATS WORK FOR HIRE.

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY GETS A BAD REPUTATION FROM DIRTY EXECS WHO DONT PROPERLY HAND OUT PUBLISHING TO THE ACTUAL WRITERS OF THE MUSIC/LYRICS.
