The Chi (South Side)
It's there for people that are earning well into the six figures, other than that you'll barely have your head above water. If you have to spend all your money just to live in a shack, is it worth it?

I just looked up some condos in Harlem and they're wanting 400k for a 900sqft condo, 2 bedrooms?
500k for 500sqft in Flushing, NY?
325k for 709sqft in Queens?

You need 6 figures there just to live in a box, as opposed to here, where you can live in a 2,300sqft condo in Hyde Park for $325k, and still enjoy a big city.

man, cat's are NOT winning in NYC.

my house here was way under 300k and I am 2 blocks from the red line that would have you downtown in 20 minutes and 2 blocks from the expressway that would have you downtown in 15 minutes. on top of that, I got 5 BR and 3 full Bath with a big ass deck, 2 car garage, inside of a brand new rehabbed house. over 3500 sq ft of living space on a block where it's pretty much all old folks that's quiet as shyt.

U can actually purchase a house in Staten Island for a reasonable price at least compared to the other boroughs. Too bad it has such a bad rap

Lol nobody cares about people from Jersey.

I heard New Yorkers hate y'all lol
They hate us but as soon as they get money or want to start a family they move here :ohhh:

Chicago aint even on the top 125 most dangerous cities in the US:skip:. Ive been to both cities multiple times, and id much rather live in the cleaner, less crowded and cheaper city:francis:
Im a black male that values his life so i want nothing to do with a Chicago

OP I don't know about almost the only state. Places like Ohio, Michigan, California and New Jersey for examples are losing people in droves.

Jersey is a shythole. The smart nikkas that wanna stay in the region are moving to PA.

:mjlol:

Ain't nobody except for Meth/Heroin addicts trading life in NJ for Pennsylvania. Fukk most Philly cats party and chill in South Jersey.

People see Newark and Camden (the worst parts of it anyway) and the industrial sector and think all of Jersey is like that. New Jersey is one the most well educated, richest states. I'm not saying Jersey is perfect but the nicer parts of Jersey shyt on almost anywhere else in the country. If you make a decent income (60k+) you can get yourself a nice apt near the train lines, and you're never more than 90 minutes from the shore. Plus if you are in tech/engineering/pharmaceuticals, there's 75k+ jobs waiting for you.
