Illegal immigrants stay in the US because they've found it easy to find work and housing.
So?
They come and stay for a variety of reasons, but ultimately it's because they find it relatively easy to find work once they're here.
I've already advocated penalties for people who employ illegals.
Some people have gone to jail over this.
DOJ increasing penalty for hiring illegal immigrants

People say we should deport them all. round them up and kick them out. That's all fine and well, but that's not realistic nor is is pragmatic.
You don't even support it.
We need to be doing more, if not pursuing such a goal.
I've worked with illegal immigrants at various point over 8 years in some of my previous roles.
Hold up. Didn't you say you don't work in shytty jobs comparable with illegals? You spent all this time shytting on poor black people working in these positions just to end up being someone who had to work in these jobs.
You're on some c00n shyt.
What the fukk?
Many are people and many want to be citizens. I believe around half of hispanic immigrants become citizens and and almost 3/4 of other citizens become immigrants.
Should be 0% and 0%.
Come legally or not at all
Roughly 4 percent of the population is illegal immigrants. Even less of that are border crossing illegals. A large amount of illegal immigrants overstay their visas.
Its worse than that. 7% of illegal kids are in k-12 schools.
Illegal immigrants are 3.5 percent of the population. But they are parents to 7 percent of K-12 students.
But let's get to the meat:
If you want to curtail illegal immigration you need to curtail the reasons why they come, why it's easy for them to remain, and also why it's easy for them to come back after being deported.
Nah. fukk all that. You're trying to pass the buck.
They shouldn't be here anyways. People will always want to come. You can't change a successful land from being unattractive.
My solution is relatively straight forward:
- CBP and ICE work as they do and deport illegal immigrants as they're supposed to.
First you've ever said this
- Federal and State laws should create an environment where it's not beneficial to hire and maintain illegal immigrants.
- Businesses should be punished for hiring illegal immigrants. The more, the more punishment.
- In place employment systems to track the legality of immigrants should be required.
- There should be more auditing in place (think Alcohol law enforcement)
There are such penalties for employers. I've posted above.
This is a wasted bullet point. This has nothing to do with the illegals themselves or removing them.
- Workers should be allowed to unionize.
- This helps curtail the abuse that business puts on workers in general
- increases workers rights
- remove the incentive of hiring illegal workers
What the fukk this gotta do with illegals?
You can't talk about union rights when you don't have CITIZEN rights.
This is another attempt at passing the buck to avoid talking about removing illegals.
This is another wasted bulletpoint.
- Re: Sanctuary cities
- If your town doesn't want to check and report immigration status that's something you need to take up with your town
- I don't support state, county, and other local police to be an additional arm of the federal goverment. (sorry.)
- If ICE/CBP and citizens were doing their civic duty this isn't an issue.
ICE would do their jobs if emotional politicians weren't ceding to demands from emotional people not demanding illegals be removed.
This is the problem
You're one of these emotional people.
ICE should be ramped up and illegals faced with policies to permit their removal asap.
Enough is enough.
And towns shouldn't be doing this grand-standing about illegals. Its your towns problem if you got addicted to free labor.
- I find the roving deportation force strategy to be a failure because:
- More police has never been good for black
- It creates an environment where legal citizens are being harassed and "forced to prove" they're citizens.
- Moves closer to a police state.
Blame illegals for this. They dodged accountability for years, now we all have to carry this brunt of their flouting of our laws.
- People in favor of deportations never seem to want to address the 14ths amendment.
Would be less complicated if lefties stopped allowing them to come over.
- as long as it is in place you have a constitutional duty to accept those children born here as citizens
And?
I probably support deportation of parents in most situations.
Harsh?
Yep.
This is what happens when you let things to on WAY too long.
this creates more logs in courts
blame illegals for this.
- breaks up more families
- and puts a system in place (right or wrong) that no longer treats citizens as equal
Hold up.
They're not citizens in the first place.
Nothing to talk about "equality"
If illegals didn't want to break up families, they wouldn't be here for years and years and engage in a mass migration of millions.
Too bad.
- A wall is stupid
- it does nothing to address people who overstay their visas
- maybe we should track visa holders better?
Yet you are against more physical enforcement.
- Most of the rah rah rah talk about illegal immigration is based in emotion and not facts.
Like the fact you're not supposed to be here?
If we deported every single illegal immigrant I don't see blacks having a better standing in America. We weren't before.
Their fight is not my problem.
In summary:
Protect workers rights and enforcing the laws we already have address the issue just fine. Just deporting people doesn't do much to advance americans who are already on a decline. Are poor people going to be less poor in any meaningful way if there are no illegal immigrants?
Illegals drive down wages and employment opportunities.
