Action or not, reviews and my disappointment with RE5 has put this game on my "Wait until Black Friday" list. And I usually cop RE games on release date faithfully

Came in the mail a few hours ago but I only got to play the prologue cause I'm still trying to put together this Elliptical machine
Visually the game is amazing. It's graphically on par with games like Max Payne 3 and Uncharted 3. Game looks alot better than the demo. It looks next gen imo.
I can understand how people can be a little upset by the fact that it's basically an action game now and not "survival horror". I just did mad crazy Die Hard Bruce Willis/Last Action Hero type shyt within the first 10 mins of gameplay. Lots of big bangs and explosions, shyt had me tryna land a crashing Helicopter n shyt...
personally I like this type shyt (epic action), but I can understand how someone expecting a slow ass action-less survival horror game would be disappointed
The negative reviews essentially stem from it no longer being survival horror. Game is dope so far to me tho.

That's because you're a simple ass ADD nikka who needs a fukking explosion every 5 seconds to be entertained. nikkas like you are fukking up the game industry. Classic series like RE and Ninja Gaiden pumping out pure hot GARBAGE and yo Radio ass eats it up.

Luckily I bought the strat guide (I love reading them at work) but I still expected a booklet or something to be included. I bought the XBOX version btw.Still, neither this guide (unless I missed it) covers the duel weld function. If it wasn't for me watching some random YTuber's commentary walkthrough of the public demo I wouldn't even know about it or know how to use it.

I think @Tom is a bit confused. You can like non-stop action, and explosions, and all that cool, nonsensical stuff. Everyone likes that shyt from time to time. The thing is though, is that's NOT what Resident Evil is supposed to be (atleast to us RE peeps).
I was old enough to play, and enjoy the first RE. I don't scare very easily, but still...You know what I would expect out of a game with the name "Resident Evil" attached to it? Having those tense moments where you can hear zombies lurking, but you only have one green herb, and 3 bullets left in your gun. When you pattern your game after CoD, any such moments are removed, and you're basically out there looking like Ryu in Ninja Gaiden, or like has been said, a Gears of War character. That is NOT Resident Evil.

Ok im like 3 hours into Leon storyline. Game is very disappointing so far
I'm just not having fun. Ammo runs out fast not a lot of health pickups. I'm fine with that but they throw so many zombies at you that I just found myself running to the next checkpoint. Camera gets you killed if your surrounded
It's just a generic action game, doesn't feel like a A+ title.
If it gets better and I change my mind ill let you know but right now I couldn't recommend this as a must buy
