It's easier to successfully follow in your parents footsteps because they already have the knowledge and knowhow that they can impart to you. Not to mention the connections.
Don't mean you need to pretend to be from the same background as your parents though (speaking to second gen rappers. TI kids have more in common with Jaden Smith than their pops)
But it is certainly a logical choose to make.
But there is no cutoff age for career changes. If somebody like Bronny wants to play ball, let him. Once his career is over he can go back to college and pursue something else. Not like he permantly ended all his prospects
