I never understood why communal living isn’t a bigger thing in America and especially black America.

I never really had the opportunity cause my mom moved across the country when I was 17 but there were a few years at age 23, 24 where I would have gladly lived with my mom and split the bills instead of burning rent monthly to some apartment landlord I don’t even know.

shyt, I lived with my family until I was 22. My dad was teaching at NCSU and I was attending lol. I saved alot of money and they helped get my house a year later.

Im only saying this because I worry. Youve been getting very androgenous on us lately. I know you kids think this is cool and "drip". But f.y.i this is a gateway to unmentionable things you dont want to know about, and arent ready for

Many families are staying together and stacking up their money to buy up multiple properties and run businesses. That’s how all those other people are getting ahead.

I literally know several people that have been working minimum wage jobs that have 5+ properties to their name making money on the side. You can try to grit and grind your way to get there but that’s gonna take you forever. It’s not like many of us have six figure inheritances to use and not all of us are going to be earning six figure salaries.

One family has I know has 20+ properties to their name. The father makes 200K/year and his 5 kids are all working professionals making pretty good money. The minimum is 70K. Ages range from 23 to 30. All of them still live together and just saving and investing. There are married couples living in full houses with one set of parents. To save on the expensive costs of daycare grandma and grandpa take care of that.

Not to mention in many families where the children stay longer before leaving, later on in life when the parents gets older those parents usually are living with one of their kids and not just thrown into a shytty retirement home.

Here on social media they give the worst advice ever.

It’s interesting how we always hear that “we need to come together” talk whenever there’s a national issue affecting our people, but a lot of us don’t even keep our families together to help them set up a stable foundation. But then you’ll hear that group economics talk. It starts with your family.
An uncomfortable truth is that you got a lot of families that point blank don't get along with each other and going in on a house just won't work because the fam is so damn dysfunctional.

Staying home with my parents after 18 worked out for my brothers. My dad gave his old house to them free and clear after he bought a new one.
