If you was Tyler Perry right now would you be petty ..or charge it to game and be the bigger person?

They got it wrong, Tim Reid and Daphne Maxwell Reid were the first black major film studio owners with New Millennium Studios in Petersburg VA in 1997

It’s not about the money it’s about someone that looks like us that worked to get to this point and will and have put others in great positions

I always wondered what we fighting for

We always say

“We need our own”

But when one is gets close

It’s

“He or she sold their soul”

Which one is it :gucci:?

To have our own we need people with money

But when they make the money it’s

“All they want is money”

Do you see how counter productive that is

:dahell:

Most of us don’t believe in, or understand sacrifice... hence why we say the bullshyt we say

As a person who kinda largely dislikes Tyler as a brand but acknowledges and respects his drive, this is nothing but a good thing.

Yeah, imo his movies and shows are pureed trash but that trash got him kicking on the doorjamb of the billionaire boys club, so props to that I guess.

I'd go from a disliker of Tyler to his biggest champion, in a day, if he uses his influence to pull quality black creatives into his Tyler Perry ecosystem.
As directors, writers and other bts personnel.

As it is, if he continues to insist on being the primary writer/director/casting, etc, this means just more media quality being sacrificed for personal profit, and while that may be dope for Tyler, as a consumer, miss me with that.

Not hating, just honest about my thoughts.

What he did with his studios is some boss player ass shyt
I've never had a problem with the brother's success.
My gripe has always been with the quality of his films, plays, and shows.
My ex wanted to watch Why Did I Get Married and it was actually decent.
So I figured breh had worked out the kinks in his filmmaking.
She wanted to go see Madea Goes To Jail, and nikka that shyt was :trash:
So I figured maybe he can only do Why Did I Get Married right, so I check the sequel.:snoop:
The shyt was odious.
His last chance was Colored Girls.:scust:
I can't fukk wit breh no more as a filmmaker.
I extended that sumbytch far too much of my time and patience.

Looking at the trailers for his new shyt on BET:gucci:

Count me the fukk out, breh.

A blend of House of Cards and Scandal:
Home - BET UK

and Shea Butter: The TV Series:
Home - BET UK

I didnt follow anything he did, seriously, what quality movies your talking about.
:manny: I thought House of Payne season 1-4 was funny. Once the show became about Denise and Calvin marriage it fell off a cliff but season 1-4 was funny.

I liked Daddy’s girls with Idris Elba, the family that prays and why did I get married 1&2.

:hubie: But anything Madea and ___ (insert holiday) is not good.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I remember saluting dude on the coli years ago when nikkas was calling him a c00n and some more bullshyt. Dude put more black people on in hollywood than all of hollywood combine. I never seen 90% of his movies or shows and no plays... But dammit. This is what the fukk black people with money/power/influence should have been doing for decades.. Some still ain't doing it now. But got the nerve to talk

A man with a mental illness should not be swept under the rug
Well if we're gonna talk about people that arent sane then let's list them all and shyt on them all and discount/discredit all their accomplishoments, shall we?

  1. Michael Jackson
  2. Mike Tyson
  3. R. Kelly
  4. ....
Shall we continue?

Micheal Jackson doesn't have a mental illness. And MJ for his "perceived" mental illness has already been dealt with by the public

Mike Tyson and R Kelly have already been dealt with and exposed also for their mental illness as well

Tyler Perry has not, which was my point. Your attempt to dodge it by naming other people is futile. Your stannery for Tyler Perry is getting embarrassing

How much of a game changer is this and what does it mean for the quality and quantity of black films we see?

Also. He needs to tell Magic to bring back Magic Johnson Theaters. That'd be a 1-2 Punch.

What I love about this story is by being a self made director, he could see the need out there from teh ground up. Obviously found a great opportunity from his movie making experience and cut out the (white) middleman.

He just needs to admit he's gay

I don't respect the downlow culture at all
He's done everything but say it breh. I was watching Why did I get married? last month, there's a scene where one of the characters says "how can you not cheat, the only way you're not cheating is if you're gay" then looked right at Tyler Perry breh had the :shaq: face too

:mjlol:

I don't have a problem with downlow gays so long as they're not smashing and marrying straight women then bringing diseases over from that community.
