If you replace Olajuwan on those Rockets championship teams with current Embiid do they still win?

Career 24&10 with 2 blocks in the playoffs. Hakeem 26&11 with 3 blocks. Clearly the better stat line but he was also playing against carpenters. I'm just saying it's close enough to debate, if you actually have the skills to do so.
Embiid has played in a faster paced era and has only played in the playoffs for ages 23-28. He hasn't played a single playoff game out of his prime while Hakeem played 98,99, and 02 out of his prime. You are fukking retarded. shyt isn't even comparable. Now compare the same ages and tell me what you get?

:dead:NAME ONE GREAT CENTER EMBIID
HAS EVER BEATEN IN THE PLAYOFFS?

HES HAD EXTREME MISMATCHES
AT THE C POSITION IN ALL OF HIS SERIES
AND STILL SHRINKS.

YET HES SUPPOSED TO
RUN THROUGH D ROB, EWING AND SHAQ?

WHAT GREAT CENTER HAS JOKER BEATEN
IN THE PLAYOFFS?

AD IS A CAREER PF
BEING FORCED TO PLAY C.
SAME FOR BAM.

SHAQ, EWING AND DROB
WOULD GAS JOKER OUT TRYING
TO GUARD THEM.

No, I chose Embiid because it's more of a debate. That is funny though I didn't even think of the African connection.

Jokic is not a debate. He would absolutely have won those rings and honestly when it's all said and done I think that cac will have a legitimate case to be put over the dream.
I completely disagree with Jokic. Hakeem anchored that defense and dominated on both ends. Plus in the 90s Jokic would've been going against other great centers with size so he wouldn't be able to dominate in the post as easily. I don't think he would've drawn as many double teams which would take away some of the effectiveness of his passing.

You must be talking about yourself and all the other bozos that came in here without explaining their reasoning. Embiid is good enough to warrant this discussion.

Mentioning 6'4 Barkley in a thread about two legit big men is retard activity. Plus, I have Embiid over everybody you just mentioned except MAYBE Robinson.

Again, 24/10/2 is not EVER showing up? Lets not be ridiculous. The argument I'm making here is the same as if I asked you to switch prime Harden with AI do they beat the Lakers? Like Embiid he's also known for choking in the playoffs but that alone doesn't mean he's not better than AI.

That might very well be my next thread actually. Feelings aside Harden might actually be the better baller, and this is coming from someone born in '91 :sas2:
nikka what????? The deepest era for centers ever was playing against carpenters? You went full retard. I hope you trolling at this point.

Dream went to the Finals his second year in the league with 27/11/3 and took down the prime Showtime Lakers in the process. Just take your L and move on. :dead:

Are you dropping him in as is or are you accounting for a shift in playstyle to match the era?
To try to guess how he would look by shifting his entire play style would be too much of a stretch of the imagination in my opinion, I'm saying dropping him in as is

Feel this strongly about another man brehs

:gucci:

Edit this shyt
Damn I didn't even think about that, excellent point, maybe Embiid wouldn't have won :ohhh:

All them legendary centers was in the East except D Rob, I got Embiid over Ewing, he only really had to battle a young Shaq that wasn't even in his prime yet.

Y'all act like I was saying Embiid is better than Olajuwan :dahell: I was just asking would he still be able to win.. The fukk wrong wit y'all.

I believe he beats Ewing in 94 and loses to Orlando in 95. I never even implied that Embiid was the better player, only that he might not be ringless if he played in that era and didn't have to go against Olajuwan himself.

Zero rings? Only one? Two? Even more??

I'm trying to grasp the greatness that is Joel Embiid while still being respectful to Olajuwan. I think the main knock against Embiid at this point in his career is he had trouble staying healthy and zero rings. Doesn't help that a euro cac in his same draft class that plays the same position came and dominated with two MVPs and a ring to show for it with plenty years left to build on that resumé.

I think it's important to not just underestimate nikkas because they don't have rings though. I often ponder what happens if you switch players of the same position who won rings what would happen. What say you brehs :jbhmm:
Almost forgot, neg!

Luc Longley was better than both and has more rings
:yeshrug:

In 94/95, Luc Longley was coming off the bench, the Bulls with MJ lost to the Magic in the Playoffs.

Next season, Luc Longley was the Bulls starting center and they swept the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals. The proof is in the pudding.

JIMMY, SIMMONS, TOBIAS

HARDEN, MAXEY, TOBIAS

EMBIID HAS HAD BETTER SUPPORTING CASTS
THAN HAKEEM COUPLED WITH MISMATCHES
AT THE CENTER POSITION AND COULDN'T
EVEN MAKE A DAMN CONFERENCE FINALS
BUT HES SUPPOSED TO RUN THROUGH THE 90S.

I SHOULD BAN YOU FROM THIS THREAD.

Embiid struggling against Al Hortford and shyt, I'm supposed to believe he's gonna outplay D-Rob, Ewing, and Shaq? :heh:
Close thread. Embiid shouldn't even be in the same sentence as Hakeem at this point. I can see Jokic though, even though he don't have any defensive impact while Dream was an anchor.
