Are you advocating staying in unhappy marriages? Perhaps (I feel like) you mean to say people give up more easily now than back in the day.Of you're 19 you can grow to accommodate another human in your space all the time.
So I can see people who get together young being able to make it work.
But if you're 30, you get annoyed by some whole other person rearranging you shyt. No matter how much you like touching them.
So basically we all to selfish and stuck in our ways to get along with someone on that level.
I was married, had long term shack ups, long term ships where we lived in different towns. It seems to run its course in a few years and then somebody gets bored.
Old school marriages lasted because the people stayed together DESPITE being unhappy. These days we just bounce.
She just had this look on her face like she got me. Like it was a game she won. I felt like she only wanted the baby and she didn't really care about the relationship. That shyt hurt man. I gave in cause everyone I knew had a kid already and felt like I had to do it cause my mom always tells me she wants grand kids. We broke up in April (stopped sleeping together in Dec).
No. It's the PRICE we pay, the sacrifice we must make for the woman we love.
Dont't get smart trying to put words in my mouth
Marriage has nothing to do with love ... it's a business contract
It SHOULD NOT but in most cases it does because people love one another and wanna be together and decide to use said love as an anchor to the marriage.
But how old are you and why are you single, @cocoabutter27 ? If you already answered that question feel free to link me to the post.
Not over 35 yet, but I'll be straight with you. 30+ is too late to play matchmaker for people, unless they are desperate.
Why were you not introducing these good women to good men while they are in their 20's?
You're bringing these people way too late to the dance. Trying to make up for lost time on the back end.
Now be honest with me here:
What were the men's dating history like
and what were the women's dating history like?
They didn't prioritize or they don't want to "settle" for someone on their level
True..its 50 percent love and 50 percent business.
100% percent business has been since it's inception...
Love had nothing to do with marriage until advertising came into it.
Most of the men that I know who are single and over 30 don't want to be. I never believed them when they said they were actively looking but the one time I made an introduction he snatched her right up and she was off the market in 2 months. So maybe he was serious?
Sometimes I honestly have to out loud because my dating life be so It's been ages since I've found a mutual attraction with someone (who is actually available to be involved). If I had only been single a couple months or a year I wouldn't think anything of it but being single as long as I have I'm really starting to think that there's something off with me but I can't put my finger on it Either that or life just isn't fair and it never will be
Haha, I won't say the exact # but let's just say I been single 5+ years. I always think I been a relationship oriented dude but the chips just haven't been falling that way I've had my bits of fun during that time and stories to tell but to be honest it's gotten old.How long have you been single? I know a 41 year old who hasn't had a girlfriend since HS. He is a little depressed this year. He really wants a wife and kids.
