You should really just do what you want

benching is still important but not necessary

thats why i was heavy into legs, pullups, boxing, sledgehammers, etc

still need some functional weight

i wear like a large or extra large but im not incredibly huge. No point at this point in lif

i bench but not heavy anymore but still know i can toss a nikka around if i feel
I was thinking of buying sledgehammer and getting an old tire.

Taking that much time benching takes away from time I could be doing other shyt. Squats, deadlifts, cardio, boxing/heavy bag...

3 plates on the bench is not for casuals who don't understand the dynamics of weightlifting.

Sir,you're wrong! The purpose of a workout is to go to the max whatever the exercise.Harder,heavier and faster. Whether its sprints,weights or aerobics-I thought everybody knew this?
