Actually me & @Sccit represent perfect examples of people into Mac Dre's work from completely different eras, completely different reasons - while he prefers Mac Dre preaching knowledge in his earlier years, I prefer Mac Dre showing you how to have fun, while spitting a unique style of game that can only be explained as the perfect balance between sass and wit.
Name another artist you can say that for. Not to mention an independent artist who represented a successful business model. Do you know how many artists have an identity because "they wanna be a boss" and conduct independent music business rather than waiting for a record label to come hold their hand? There's a rumor that Dr. Dre at one point was at a crossroad between either signing Mac Dre or 50 Cent - this being after 50 Cent's rise and Mac Dre's energized buzz from Treal TV
It's an interesting possibility. It's likely Dr. Dre knew of Mac Dre because Focus (Dr. Dre's staff producer at the time) gave Mac Dre an unfinished beat which ended up being "Get Stupid"
THAT BEAT WASNT REALLY PRODUCED BY DR DRE, MAC DRE WAS SUPPOSEDLY FUCCIN AROUND ON THE JOINT WHEN HE SAID THAT .. NEVER HEARD THAT RUMOR THO, SOUNDS INTERESTING.
