Nah I'm not black.

I'm Mexican and I noticed that as I was waiting, she only got Asians and one black dude which off course she gave the special treatment to :beli:

My Bad. Those who live in California and Maryland are lucky, being that those are some of the states that passed the Dream Act.

Would like to move this entire issue behind us though.

I'm asking you, do you think the best solution is to export 11 million people?

Do either of you clowns pay attention to what is said out there? It was specifically said by Obama that they would go behind people here who did it the legal way before them because "Its only the fair thing to do".

Once again stop repeating things off yahoo answers and keep up to date with what is said. Even after this post I made you are STILL going to find something else with this topic to complain about after admitting being wrong about that small part.

"Coli logic: The Black Jamaicans, Trinidadians, and other west indians don't technically count as the "black community".

Health care being expanded for 133% of the poverty line does not effect blacks in anyway at all

Yeah they should, right now they are deporting about 400,000 a year, we should double the budget and in about 10 years the vast majority of illegal immigrants will be gone

I have no problem with immigration, we need more immigrants, so we should also give more visas and have a guest worker program, but the visas should be given out equally to all countries

African, West Indian and Asians are getting screwed under the amnesty being considered, 90 percent of illegals are not black, it's another example of black people not using a smart political strategy, thinking small and outsourcing to liberals

as far as immigration we need to make sure that more Africans and West Indians come to America, don't get it it twisted, I'm pro immigration, I'm just not pro the United States being invaded by cheap labor and being invaded by Latin America

Its not like im against immigration reform or bringing alot of illegals into being documented and fully apart of society but i just dont like the lack of compassion for the people that been in this country that arent getting such attention in congress. Whatever the motive. Im not here to call names or tell anyone how stupid or ignorant they are

But thiis whole "take my anger out on "illegals" " that you guys keep doing is getting disgusting. So basically the logic is "Hold these people back from fufilling their dreams after all their hard work and sacrifice for their families........and instead focus on the brothers and sisters". By the way this isn't blanket amnesty.

Grow up man. Also the term isn't over yet, calm down.

got em in here telling american blacks to wait their turn, term aint over yet, immigrants just hard work and fulfilling their dreams, meanwhile they are breaking the law doing it. Im not surprised an immigrant wants better rights for them selves in america.. why he sound so curious to why blacks would want the same shyt? American blacks have done plenty for america to not take a backseat to foreigners

Don't smoke weed, plain and simple :mjpls:

If I get arrested for trying to pick up a hooker, who's fault is it? The gov't for a dumb law or myself for being a dumb mo' fukka?

Me :manny:

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

He doesnt take the same strict view of the law when its applied to his people tho

You don't know my hatred towards some of these privileged fukks that are citizens of this country and all they have to show for is a stupid GED or a rap sheet.

So no, not all illegal immigrants are criminals same as not all black people are those stereotypes people parade around.
:manny:

you can break the law in the country but not be a criminal in his eyes just like not all black people are law breaking and ignorant?? you see this twisted logic?

:snoop: This is already part of the Obama proposal.

And why do people keep bringing up this "Cheap labor" thing? Hopefully Congress finally passes that Fair Minimum Wage Act to get it past $9 and up. But i never understood where the whole "cheap labor" thing comes from especially since most economists admitted if the Dream Act passes it will add hundreds of billions of dollers to the economy over a period of two or so decades.

I think alot of naysayers are going to be VERY VERY surprised in the future at how they were largly wrong with all the gloom and doom predictions about "illegals taking our jobs"

To lightly sum up the original OP statement and answer their question , this is what I personallythink Obama needs to do more for black people:

1. Repeal Bush's "Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act" that messed up the USPS . The post office contains a high amount of blacks as it is a government union job which blacks have historically been in and is a very significant reason why the unemployment is so high for blacks. Besides reversing the plan, push for it to be privatized, and have a grant be added to it in order to have them update their outdated technology(you cant even print postage stamps online) and help with more revenue.

2. Force Congress to Pass the "Veterans Job Corps Act"(they blocked it last summer) which would benefit an estimated 2 million African Americans(estimated amount of black veterans) find work.

3. Comprehensive Prison Reform:
Repeal Of "Three-Strike Rule": Has happened gradually in some states, but make it on a federal level.
Decriminilize/Legalize Marijuana and Pardon Those who Had Minor Offenses From Only that Drug
Lower Crack/Coke Disparity Even Further to 1:1 ratio(was 18:1 since 2010)
Have Health Clinics and Intervention/Rehabilitation Centers For Hard Core Drugs like Coke/Meth/Heroin and Focus A Stronger Effort Primarily on Prescription Pills

4. Urban Youth Community Work Program(explained this in another thread on here already)

I never broke any laws....

I'm not gonna bother to continue to speak to you because you have problems with listening properly and seem to be adept with placing words in people's mouths.

So according to this guy, I'm breaking the law because I never went back after my visa expired, even though I was 12 when it expired act to the fact that my parents were the ones who bought me here :laff:

@DStyles you need to get your shyt together. I'm tired of folks like you thinking you can get away with marijuana charges.

I do not care if you were 4 when your your parents were arrested for it. As their offspring you are DIRECTLY responsible for their horrible mistakes and it is about time you take accountability for it even if you were only4 years old.

It is time you learn to be a man and take accountability for your actions.

I don't have a problem with immigration reform, I have a problem with giving 11 million visas to people that broke the rules

And I have already rejected your liberal economic plan for black people, it's stupid, that is not the black agenda IMO

No one has a problem connecting gay rights to black civil rights. :mjpls:

It's a good thing you answered your own question with putting "black" in front of civil rights.

Check what the definition of "civil rights" means. By definition yes, fighting for marriage equality, income equality, etc are all placed under civil rights "TECHNICALLY".

The thing is because of semantics and everything, the black movement in the 60s was referred to civil rights.

I'm not B'sing or anything btw. Just been straight up. Honestly i think some people would agree it would have been best if we referred to it as something specifically as for Blacks.

So we would not keep having this "education is the civil rights of our generation", "gay rights is the civil rights of our generation "Dream act is the civil rights of our generation, etc type of comments.

Everyone has their own unique fight for rights and should be set apart.

They really should have called it the Black Power Movement
