Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
and I am also talking about that world, which would be 40-50 years from now.

a 223 lb RG3 would not be able to play 90 minutes. He would have to lose a lot of weight unless he was playing centerback. Its just too big.

You just pointed out someone 6"4 210lbs playing, and RG3 being 13lbs heavier is too big, when he's a superior athlete? Come on fam, Ronaldo was out there looking like the Michelin man putting in work.

The GAWD Thierry was 6'2" and 180 lbs in his prime, and he was pretty heavy. And he was a great athlete.

Ran a 4.82 40m, would translate to a 4.4-4.5 40yd dash, far from a great athlete, good but not great. He wouldn't have cracked the top 10 @ this years NFL draft combine with that speed.

These guys would have to lose a lot of weight. Then they would have to get the right coaching as its not turning up and just running and jumping.

Not really, it's not that hard to increase max VO2 and stamina, Im not saying lineman could play soccer, but the guys who fit the running back and DB body type are perfect.

I mean someone mentioned it earlier, Steve Nash didnt start playing bball until the late in HS career and he is a HOFer. Hakeem didnt start playing bball until he was like 16 or 17, and dude is either the first or 2nd most skilled center ever.

False, Nash played basketball well before HS, he didn't start playing organized basketball until 8th grade, that doesn't mean he didn't play at parks or shoot around. It just means he didn't play for his team until 8th grade. Hakeem (PBUH) is 6"10 and a gift from the heavens athletically.

Using your hands to control something is natural. Using your feet is foreign as hell, and if you are 6'8" like Lebron it even harder.

I'm not saying dudes who are 6"8 and up, Im specifically talking about PG/SG, RB and DB body types.

and Theo Walcott is a great example of this.

Even though he is small, he could have been an olympic class sprinter. HE was running sub 12 second 100 meter times at 13, 14 years old.

Theo didnt start to really play football until around that time.

He has made a really good career for himself, but his first touch is still a shambles. He has trouble running with the ball. He cant pass for shyt (got better at crossing tho). And he runs into a lot of blind alleys and has no 1v1 move to get by a defender.

Theo has been in a professional academy since he was 13. When he was a kid the coaches saw his speed and just played balls over the top for him to run on to as he could break any offside line and and defender and just run on to the ball. You cant do that at top class level and he struggles a lot.

He ran a 4.72 40m dash, it works out to about a 4.35 40yd dash, he wouldn't have been a world class sprinter fam, and the dude is TINY.

He also hit 22mph, which is 1mph slower than what Reggie Bush hit in full pads, and 2mph slower than what RG3 hit.

I would have loved to see if this man would've played soccer as kid instead of football.

That's a lie.
if that was a lie, experts wouldnt drool over combine numbers and the combine itself would be your regular ass event attended by 2 scouts from each team and thats it.

teams wouldnt draft bum ass receivers based just on their very good 40 time.

teams wouldnt draft guys who are super athletic but cant shoot the damn basketball worth a damn and only way they can score is by dunking.

The way America's sports model is set up, its not conducive to producing great soccer players. Its not even conducive to producing great athletes in other sports anymore.

I mean someone mentioned it earlier, Steve Nash didnt start playing bball until the late in HS career and he is a HOFer. Hakeem didnt start playing bball until he was like 16 or 17, and dude is either the first or 2nd most skilled center ever.

I agree with this. Now about the bolded. What is it about the American sports model does not work for soccer?

I know one thing, if America desires to have world class soccer players they need a few things to happen. The American soccer system works in reverse when compared to the rest of the world.

1. Soccer would need to be at least the 2nd most popular sport.

2. Kids that play soccer should focus on soccer and no other sport to be world class. They need to be kicking the ball as soon as they start walking. This is what they do in Brazil. :manny:

3. The white suburban soccer mom crap has to go. This is a big problem. Poor, working class kids dominate soccer across the world. Too much politics prevents poorer kids from getting exposure.

4. Slowly introduce coaching when kids are around 5. This allows for kids to develop their creativity and intuition with overcoaching hurting it.

5. Build footsalls all over the country that are accessible to kids. This helps with their development significantly.

6. Continue to grow your domestic league. It helps if we can send a young prodigy to a domestic league than overseas. I know it did not work with Freddy Adu, but it is important.

7. A player should not waste their years playing in college if they are good. You should turning pro at 15-17 like the rest of the world. Rooney, Beckham, Messi turned pro very early. The rest of the world could give a damn if they can do algebra.

All this might be too daunting for America to do. I'm sure that you can add what you think.

you waaay too fixated on athleticism and measurements breh.

half of those numbers are out of context garbage even in football once actual games start...much worse in soccer.

fixation on numbers is how taylor mays got drafted to play safety in the nfl when dude has zero football skills/iq/anticipation/positioning.

The point is, the fastest man in soccer, would be around 40th fastest man in the NFL.

he was 13, you are comparing a 13 year old to 22 year old men.

Tim Montgomery was 5'9", and even though he used roids, he was a world class sprinter before that.

Same is true of Jon Drummond. They were are all around Theo's height of 5'9"-5'10"

Alto Bolden, Dennis Mitchell, Walter Dix, I can name many more. World class sprinters, all ran under 10 seconds. I didnt say Theo would win the gold medal, but at 13 years old to be running the 100 meters in under 13 is ridiculous and if he was trained properly he would have passed that.

This is the #1 problem with soccer in America IMO.
