The acrobatics
The energy
The hand to hand combat

Jackie figured out jokey jokey worked and rode off with that. I could only imagine how taxing on the body that was

To be honest I could have done without the majority of the death defying stunts and more of the serious hand to hand combat. It always seemed to me that the majority of his American movies were built more on hijinx rather than showing his true capabilities as a martial artist

but JC wanted to stand out and that's what made him special compared to his peers in the industry, Hong Kong action cinema.

hand to hand was cool but got repetitive..golden harvest utilised the little fortunes into mega stars with crazy action and stunts galor..JACKIE CHAN,M SAMMO HUNG, YUEN BIAO, YUEN WAH, LAM CHING YING ETC..

I do respect that from a branding standpoint

My favorite OG Jackie Chan flick varies but one I always come back to is project A, that one is like the perfect balance of comedy, stunts and martial arts mayhem. Plus it's the one where all 3 opera brothers got to work together.

it was your first time watching Police Story?, then you need to get on Police Story 2, 3, and 4
Part 4 you can just look up the ladder fight scene on YouTube and you'll be good. That's probably Jackie's weakest film.
