Jackie's Net Worth is said to be $400 million. Guy has come a long way from being a stuntman working with Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. Would I have loved to see more of Jackie's high energy, yeah, but in the end broken bones are broken bones, and I am sure Jackie has physical pain leftover from tons of broken bones.
And he’s not leaving any of it to his son

ain't gonna lie, as a young jackie chan fanatic I did not like the rush hours at all initially :yeshrug:

they watered down his style too much. bunch of cuts during the fight scenes and they replaced all the crazy stunts with generic action movie explosions and shyt

I've grown to appreciate them for being great comedies now but as far as favorite jackie movies go they rank pretty low
At his age none of that was happening and Hollywood is a whole different animal

He can't be a one trick pony forever, he's gotta keep reinventing himself :yeshrug:

It's like Reasonable doubt was based on trends that were already popular whereas the blueprint created a new model for the 21st century rap album.

.....But then again he's been on that slapstick, jokey jokey shyt for a minute so who knows.

Like what? nikkaz in the south were flipping soul samples for years.

He could very well have gone back to flicks like Snake in the Eagle's Shadow now that's he's older, less wear and tear on the body...but after all the wild stuff he's done it'd probably bore him more than anything.

Why not? Isn't that the point of generational wealth, to pass on to your seeds?

They had a strained relationship. Jaycee Chan was fukking up his own money and image. He embarrassed Jackie with the playboy antics and drug possession charge. So Jackie was disappointed in him and said he'd rather donate his shyt to charity instead of passing it on to a wasteful son :picard:

They've reconciled though so that might not be the case now.

He did stuff like that in Hong Kong for a long time. Police Story was the standout but he’s almost died a few times from stunts. The Armour of God one when the tree branch broke was the one that caused him to have emergency brain surgery.

I think he just did lighter stuff later on because he was older and his body couldn’t do the same things anymore, and I don’t think he can do those stunts in American films anyway due to insurance.

He did this in Who Am I when he was in his mid 40s

Man the last fight scene in Who Am I? is one of the illest things ever put on film IMO. No actor has more classic fight scenes under his belt than Jackie.

That shyt came at a price though, to be fair we been lucky to have homie for this long.

Sample based production was becoming outdated at the time. The blueprint was produced by then unknown up and comers(minus trackmasterz and timbaland) who brought that sound back.

Nahh. It was still being done big time by Southern Artists. Completely disagree.
