If OKC doesn’t make the finals, do you think they will get a pass from the media/fans?

The 2024 Celtics are on that list and they went 2-2 against the Bucks and got blown out in both losses, also went 2-2 against the Hawks & Pacers. It doesn’t change the fact that they were an all time regular season team overall.

Same applies for OKC. They are having one of the greatest regular seasons ever and history shows that usually translates into deep playoff runs.

It's a stupid stat. Wins and losses matter, They . 500 against 2 potential WC opponents and .333 agaiinst another. Them losing won't be a shock. I don't give a gotdamn how many blowouts they've had, They still got to play 2 more against the LAkers another potential matchup

Their #1 is an MVP level walking bucket and they have another shot-creator alongside him; great size down low (pause); 11 players who shoot 35-40% from 3; a couple super serious defenders. Masterfully constructed roster. Can't see anyone but the Celts having a chance against them in a 7 gamer.

anyone saying a finals appearance isn't the bare minimum is full of it. Statistically, they're doing better than the KD warriors

Every podcastand TV show i watch seems to think warriors lakers clippers etc are beating us in the playoffs. I think okc may be most disrespected great team in years.

Because of their youth and going up potentially against Bron, Steph/KD/Jimmy, or Healthy Nuggets in the WCF.

Still should get fried, don't get it twisted, but they can get a "little" leeway losing to the above in the Conference Finals.

OKC will be getting to the Finals, the only teams I can see making it tough on them is Denver, and I'd add the Lakers but I'm not too keen on anybody else besides their big 3. Warriors lack the size, the only thing they have on them is experience in the playoffs. OKC will run out SGA/Dort/Williams/Chet/IHart with guys like Caruso and Wiggins coming off the bench

With that being said, I got Boston going back to back though in 6

They're too young/not ready/unserious to be legit contenders and will lose to LAL/GSW/DEN/LAC in the playoffs.

If they lose to LAL/GSW/DEN/LAC in the playoffs, it's an all-time choke job and should be critiqued as if they weren't denigrated all season as being too young/not ready/unserious to be legit contenders.

If or when they win the West, LAL/GSW/DEN/LAC were too old, flawed, past their primes, had weak supporting casts so it doesn't really count.

OKC is beating teams worse than the 72-10 Bulls and the KD Warriors and casual NBA fans will tell you that they aren't going to come out the West because they're not ready.

I guess they forgot this team made it to the 2nd Round last year and then addressed their biggest weakness in the off-season.

Their defense is what is going to wake mfers up when the Playoffs start. Once you see how suffocating it is, you gonna realize how dumb the, "They're not ready" takes are in hindsight.
