If OKC doesn’t make the finals, do you think they will get a pass from the media/fans?

SGA ain’t a real star?

Not yet.

Right now he's still in that Mitchell, Haliburton, Fox and Booker Lane.

It's the same with Brunson.

Not enough people care yet for their to be real scrutiny if they don't have successful play off runs.

SGA will need an MVP for that to happen while at OKC.

Team is absolutely loaded. Their #1 is an MVP level walking bucket and they have another shot-creator alongside him; great size down low (pause); 11 players who shoot 35-40% from 3; a couple super serious defenders. Masterfully constructed roster. Can't see anyone but the Celts having a chance against them in a 7 gamer.

They're not that big of a market, so yes they will get a pass. So will Cleveland.

Likely MVP, on pace for 69 wins and the highest scoring differential ever. Them not making the Finals would be an all time collapse :hubie:

They would be by far the best performing regular season team ever to not make the Finals, but ok :manny:
The metric you're using is stupid though. for example they+24 against Denver but they split the series

They also lost 2 of 3 against GS

Minnesota got a +3 with a split

I don’t think it’s stupid to say that a team with the MVP, 69 wins and a point differential on that level not making it to the Finals would be completely unprecedented

To each their own though :manny:

It's completely stupid. As I stated they like plus 24 on Denver and they are 2-2 against them. It's a dumb stat

The 2024 Celtics are on that list and they went 2-2 against the Bucks and got blown out in both losses, also went 2-2 against the Hawks & Pacers. It doesn’t change the fact that they were an all time regular season team overall.

Same applies for OKC. They are having one of the greatest regular seasons ever and history shows that usually translates into deep playoff runs.
