i understand what OP is saying...but having an ear is still a talent that not many have. being able to orchestrate an entire project is a skill that cannot necessarily be learned.

it goes deeper than just "thats a dope beat" ...its knowing how to structure the song...the melodies...the hooks...the bridge...the feature....if the beat fades out at the end or just cuts off...if the beat switches half way through...if it should be a free track or saved for the album... its a trillion little micro-jobs to put together a project and it takes a good bit of talent to be able to assemble the talent to make a good project

and like i said before i dont think Kanye is a genius...but he's def wiling to throw a hail mary and do something different.
