If Quincy and Miles were such geniuses why did they need help?

Either you're stupid or you speak without thinking, which makes you stupid. So yea, you're just stupid.
I'm not sure what you mean here.
Quincy is not only a highly talented composer but he's also a strong musician
who hung around straight giants in his youth like Miles Davis and Clark Terry.

And speaking of Miles Davis, he's a genius because he not only changed Jazz BY HIMSELF
but he introduced a few standard compositions that people still play TO THIS DAY.

Dudes like Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk or Quincy Jones really aren't
Kanye's equals and I like Kanye.

I was born in '88.

You nikkas just pop fans and need to stop acting like you like rap/hip-hop because you don't...you like pop music

And that's ok.

Yeh production has changed but real rap/hip-hop producers still don't need a army to make a good beat.

Like I said before you dudes must of just started this hip-hop shyt.

Why do you think old Kanye is so respected?... nikka just had a mpc2000 and a sp1200 and made classic shyt. Dude got a army of producers and can only pump out 1 good song every now and then.

You're one of those people, yeah? A "Real Hip-Hop" head? I guess you consider any rap album released after 2001 is considered pop music. Probably still rock XXXXL white tees and baggy jeans with a backpack.

Funny thing is if Kanye had kept that chipmunk soul sound, you nikkaz would chastising him anyway, that he hasn't evolved, needs to change his drums up, has gone stale etc.

You have kids singing in TP2.com that got credit for the album. The rest are engineers and shyt. Kellz wrote and produced the whole thing except 1 song and wrote the entire thing solo. Kanye can't do that shyt and he's not close to being a genius. He wife's whores and gets other producers to help him sample real geniuses shyt while paying ghostwriters to write his rhymes.

So you do agree that R. Kelly needed help to make the album?

Thats all I wanted to hear, breh.

sampling is flat out genius.

First of all, everyone samples. The principle of sampling is basically taking an idea from one place and applying it to another. Old as time.

The technical aspect of sampling is new but is genius nonetheless. Like all things, it depends on how it's done. Cats like Timbaland, Premo, Pete Rock created whole new worlds with old records. shyt that no one even thought of doing. That's genius.

Real talk. Modern hip hop has an unprecedented amount of wannabees who claim to like hip hop, but really are pop fans.

@MikeyC is a Yeezy stan and an attention whore. This thread is like reading ether to him.

nikka, you still here? I was done with you, yet you keep mentioning my name. What's wrong with you?

Some of you will develop a migraine debating 'music' with 90s babies that only ever heard 'some' hip-hop.

Kellz didn't need help writing or producing the album which is all that counts.

And I understand Dr.Dre got plenty of help but he never proclaimed himself a genius. Kanye brings in writers and producers to help him yet people consider him a genius. Makes no sense to me.
Name a modern musical genius who doesnt need help. :dwillhuh:

You arent an artist. You arent a musician. Stop.

These arent blackthoughts. These damn near CacThoughts
