Coworker and myself were talking about how this fight seems to lack any sort of promotion. My job keeps me busy, therefore promo is important, despite the fact that I follow the sport.

As for this fight, I see it going the whole 12. Both guys are going to be cautious of each other's power. In fact, I will go even further and say this fight will not be as entertaining as people expect it to. It's a great fight on paper, but I think it will translate much differently as it happens in real time. I think it will turn out to be a good fight, but it's going to tactical. Not the fight that Oscar is trying to sell it off as.

I agree and hAve been feeling that way since before it was announced. This has the potential to be great in theory, but the thing is we should know by now that despite GGG saying Mexican Style and Canelo saying he fights like a real Mexican, both of them talk more out of hype than reality. They both fight intelligently behind their styles and neither one ever gets out of control.

Maybe this atmosphere and the stakes cause them to do something out of character, but odds are both guys fight very controlled and stick with their game plan.

That would be okay. We still get a high level fight, maybe without the Biggg Drama Show.

Abel Sanchez keeps yapping about how he molded GGG's style to Mexican style and how GGG has some unique Mexican/European style now.
GGG is a methodical, textbook pressure fighter nothing he does is really that unique I know he's his coach so he knows every nuance of his game even the ones we don't notice but GGG's style isn't unorthodox at all, he's just a very good pressure fighter basically...
Also this bs abut Sanchez giving him the Mexican style... Some Eastern European especially Russians are known from being mostly aggressive, offensive fighters if he thinks about that.

Beterbiev, Kovalev, Bivol, Kudryashov, Provodnikov, Povetkin, Shafikov, Chudinov, Gassiev, Lipinets, Troyanovsky, Gradovich...
but yeah Sanchez totally gave that "aggressive Mexican style" to GGG's "European style"

its common knowledge triple g hits harder, be it one punch power or however u want to label it.

Mosley sparred with triple g and siad triple g wasnt going hard and he could still feel the power, says he hits like a light heavy wieght.

One punch KO power is debatable cause Canelo s more explosive, he has more velocity and snap in his punches, also according to boxrec Canelo scored more one punch KOs than Golovkin.
Golovkin is heavier handed, no doubt but one punch KO power is different

For example Spence is heavier handed than Thurman but Thurmn probably has more one punch KO power, also Joshua is heavier handed than Wilder but Wilder has more one punch KO power
