its still mind boggling to me ppl still use the HBO broadcast team reason as a crutch to why ppl think GGG won the fight :heh:..like watching a Russian feed or British feed or muting would change a perception..straight foolishness..all you need to do is watch the fighters fight...how hard is that?

So you've been in a boxing ring before.....and? You don't post in the OG thread, aren't dropping any type of knowledge etc.

Harold Lederman is bad for the sport. I was just listening to the Chris Mannix boxing podcast and he had Farhood on there. Both talked about how people thought GGG was clearly winning and it was all based on seeing Lederman's unofficial card. So now you get these boxing casuals/neophytes thinking this was some kind of highway robbery based on seeing Lederman's card. This happens way too often. Lederman is as bad or worse than Byrd with his judging.

I said it before the fight. If Canelo has stamina issues after 51 fights, he won't miraculously change by his 52nd. And you nikkas in here thinking it'll all be better by his 53rd.

He is who he is. Canelo has no stamina.

And because of that, he'll lose every time to the most relentless pressure fighter in the game today, just like he lost Saturday night. No amount of "if Canelo changes this..." matters. None of it. No matter what he does, Canelo is going to gas and GGG is going to be beating on him the entire time.

My sentiments exactly.

Canelo either needs better stamina or more punching power to beat GGG, and those aren't the types of qualities a fighter can develop in 7 and a half months. Especially if they've had 53 professional fights. GGG is what he is, but Canelo isn't magically getting better either. The odds are GGG's favor in a rematch.

Think about it like this: Ward/Kovalev II took place 7 months after the first fight. Did either of those guys change substantially as fighters from one match to the next?

I posted my scores in here before Harold Lederman's were shown on HBO.....his & my card matched almost identically except for 1 round:manny:

A lot of interviews have surfaced for people who were AT the fight and an overwhelming majority felt GGG won the fight.

i get the point though. Hardcore fans who watch on TV can tune Lederman's cards out while casual people watching usually take his card as gospel

exactly...not ONE post from anyone who scored it for GGG mentioned anything about being influenced by HBO...some cats in here hate HBO so much they will blame them for EVERYTHING that's perceived wrong with whatever boxing airs on their network

I had it as a draw just like Mannix and Farhood. I saw many others on twitter that had it the same, or one round in favor of either fighter. I'm ok if you think GGG won, clearly as a draw and a 115-113 score isn't all that huge of a difference when asking to judge a fight. Don't think it was 8-4 GGG or 10-2 Canelo like Lederman and Byrd. But again, this is more about my constant disagreement with Lederman's cards over the years. He gave all those rounds to Kovalev in the second Ward fight and I was dumbfounded at what he was looking at.
